There are 35 students on the trip, the hardworking people take the test at home, our only goal is to have fun together for the last time before the exam.. There is no school on this trip that I will write to the preferences, but okay, we are going to Eskişehir as well.. HOW TO GET TO ESKISEHIR
The fastest and most comfortable way to go from Istanbul to Eskişehir is actually bullet train. Odunpazarı neighborhood, the first residential area of Eskişehir, is one of the most beautiful examples of Ottoman civil architecture. Our favorite here, as everywhere else, is Atlıhan Handicrafts Bazaar. In the past, the inns where merchants and their animals were kept serve as cafes and gift shops in many provinces today.. You can also visit one size smaller of them in Odunpazarı.. Atlıhan Handicrafts Bazaar has a friendly atmosphere with its small courtyard and is full of traditional souvenir shops.
When you come to Atlıhan, you can also stop by the Cam Belly Tea Garden at the back entrance.. We loved it with its nostalgic music and colorful environment.. There is also a glass workshop here, let’s mention it.

Opened in 2007 in one of the historical houses of Odunpazarı, our country first glass arts museum. Selected glass works from both our country and the world are exhibited in the Museum of Contemporary Glass Arts, which is the first and only in its field.

Turan Numune School, built by Architect Kemalettin between 195-1916, has been serving as the Republic History Museum of the city since 1994.. In the museum, you can see the photo exhibition presenting sections from the parliament and the first years of the republic, portraits of Atatürk and other works and models depicting the days of the Republic period, as well as the wars and congresses that took place before the Republic period.. When we come to Eskişehir, this is a point we never pass without stopping by; once it is surrounded by all kinds of cafes, restaurants and bars. It is possible to finish the day without getting bored if we go around all of them in a row.. However, if the weather is suitable, it is a must for us to buy food and drink from the market and spread out on the grass next to Porsuk..

We didn’t have much choice in terms of accommodation, as our last visit to Eskişehir was a bit spontaneous, but we still stumbled upon our lucky moment.. Ada Life Hotel, located at the most lively point of Adalar district, right on the slope of Porsuk Stream, made us very happy with its parking facility and breakfast.. Moreover, on the ground floor of the hotel overlooking the Porsuk Stream, there is one of the city’s popular venues, the Travelers’ Cafe.
With the exception of Ada Life Hotel, the Senna City Hotel, which is within walking distance of it, is also one of the popular hotels in Eskişehir.. Maybe we’ll stay there next time.

After that school trip I met in Eskişehir, no one went to Anadolu University, only 32 people entered the university that year, half of them in Izmir and to universities in Manisa, some of them for two years, some of them went to schools outside Ankara and Istanbul..
