HOW TO GET TO MARMARIS AMOS BAY AND ANCIENT CITY ?
How to go to Amos ? The easiest way to reach Amos is by car.. Since this is a far point from Marmaris, the issue of minibus is a bit troublesome.. However, there is a minibus from Turunç to Amos in the summer months.. You can find the Amos dolmuş times at this link.
If you want to come to Amos from Marmaris center by car, you have to stop by Turunc first.. The distance between Marmaris center and Amos Bay is about 24 km. After approaching Amos, you drive through a site called Professor’s Site and descend into the bay.. Car parking is a bit of a problem. The road of Amos is quite winding, it is also useful to be careful while driving.
Apart from this, as I said above, you can join the daily boat tours departing from Marmaris center to reach Amos.. For this, of course, Amos Bay should be on the route of the boat tour.
AMOS BEACH & AMOS’ HOW IS THE UN SEA?
Amos Bay has a beautiful beach and sea.. We can even call it an aquarium instead of the sea.. The beach has a clean, glassy sea.. beach rocky. The sea deepens after 5-6 meters. Don’t forget to take your snorkel with you when you come here, or you will regret it.
Entrance fee to Amos Beach is 30 TL. There is only one facility (Amos Restaurant) on the beach. If you are going to use the facility, it is useful to look at the comments about the facility.. The comments are not very encouraging.. Since we usually buy our own materials and come prepared, restaurants do not bind us too much.. As an ancient city lover couple,Ancient City of Amos, one of our favorite ancient cities, impressed us deeply with its mysterious stance. Everywhere you step here lies history. There are many values waiting to be discovered.. It is such a precious ancient city that its effect on Amos lasts all day.. There is nothing to say about its view, it is already a legendary sight.
The history of Amos Ancient City dates back to the Roman period and Amos has a history of approximately 2200 years.. The city is located in a hill area with a magnificent view.. You go to the city by seeing the city walls on a green road with stairs.. There is a small theater and a temple waiting to be unearthed in Amos.
The last time we went to Amos, we saw grave excavations being carried out at the entrance.. As I said, there is history under every step you take here.. We hope the mysterious history of Amos will be revealed in the future.
AMOS BAY AND AMOS ANCIENT CITY ENTRANCE FEE
Amos Bay’s entrance fee is 30 TL. This fee is charged by the business located here as a parking fee.. Do you have to give? I don’t think if you’re not going to benefit from the business, don’t give it.. Coastal Law Article 5 is pretty clear. You can also enjoy Amos with your own means, which is also available.. If you still want to benefit from the establishment, the fee for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella was 50 TL.
There is no entry fee for the Ancient City of Amos . You can tour the ancient city for free.
