The most frequently asked questions to me about travel to Ukraine were about the cost of travel to Ukraine.. “Is 100 euros for 3 days enough, how much will I spend in a week?” Questions such as Ukraine are on the minds of those who plan their trip. First of all, life in Ukraine is generally cheap.. Unfortunately, due to the increase in the exchange rate, our money is starting to lose value here as well.. While 1 TL was 7.5 UAH in January 2018, it was 1 TL 5.5 UAH in our trip in August 2018.. When we look at the November 2020 exchange rate, 1 TL is 3.5 Ukrainian hryvnia.. I stayed in Lviv for 1 week in January. In July and August, I made a 10-day holiday program, 3 days in Kharkov, 4 days in Kyiv, and 3 days in Odessa.. Lviv is a very small city, if you have time problems, you can easily visit it in 2 days.. But if you want to enjoy it and go to a different place every day, 4 days is ideal.. 2-3 days was enough for Kharkov, while Kyiv was bigger than we expected. We had planned 4 days to spend 1 day in Chernobyl, but if I had my current mind, I would plan Kiev for at least 5-6 days.. But if you don't have time, you can take a quick tour in 3-4 days.. It is enough to spare 2-3 days for Odessa./ph3strong5- Where to Stay in Ukraine?/strong/h3pHotels, hostels and hotels for every budget in Ukraine possible to find an apartment. Since I arranged my Lviv trip for the New Year's period, all the affordable hotels were sold out.. The only option was to rent a house or a room.. So we rented a room from strongAirbnb/strong for 7 nights for two people for 600 TL.. The location of the house was great, since it is in Rynok Square, we had the chance to travel without using any public transport.. The only downside was the house was a bit old.. Our second home rental experience in Ukraine was in Kiev. This time everything was just as we wanted.. The house was a 5-minute walk from St. Sofia Cathedral and Maidan Square. The house was very nice and clean.. We paid about 830 TL for two people for four nights.. If you are thinking of going to Kiev, you can browse and book the house at strongthis link/strong. By browsing my strongKyiv accommodation guide/strong, you can get information about which part of Kiev to stay in and Kyiv hotel recommendations./ppWe stayed at the hotel in Kharkov and Odessa.. Hotel prices in Kharkov are quite low. We paid 334 TL for our 3-night stay in Kharkov, staying in the center for 55 TL per person per night.. Click stronghere/strong to take a look at the hotel we stayed at in Kharkov. Our hotel in Odessa, on the other hand, surprised us with a five-star European hotel.. We paid 125 TL per person per night to the Odessa hotel.. Moreover, breakfast is included in the accommodation fee.. I would definitely recommend the hotel we stayed in Odessa.. You can review the hotel from strongthis link/strong. If you are not looking for comfort during your travels, you can choose hostels and stay in Ukraine with prices starting from 30-40 TL per night./ph3strong6- Getting to Ukraine/strong/h3<

In recent years, Ukraine flight ticket prices have increased due to increased travel demands to Ukraine.. For this reason, following the campaigns is one of the indispensable ways for those who want to buy cheap flight tickets.. We paid 425 TL for a round trip flight ticket to Lviv.. It was a reasonable fee for a visa-free trip and New Year’s Eve. During our summer trip, we bought our Istanbul-Kharkov flight ticket from Pegasus’ 1+1 campaign.. We bought our outbound tickets for 325 TL for the 25th of July with the offer of buy 1 ticket and get 1 free ticket.. 1 ticket to be used in November-March is also free. We bought our return ticket from Onur Air.. We paid 425 TL per person for a direct flight from Odessa to Istanbul.. This has been the most expensive flight ticket we have bought recently.

I frequently share airfare campaigns and cheap flight tickets from my Instagram account(@seyahatimgeldi). If you want to be informed about opportunities, you can follow.

THY, Pegasus and Ukraine Airlines are flying between Ukraine and Turkey.

  • Pegasus-THY to Lviv is direct from Istanbul, and Ukraine Airlines is connecting to Kyiv.
  • Turkish Airlines and Ukraine Airlines fly to Kiev directly from Istanbul, while Pegasus has connecting flights to Ankara.
  • THY and Pegasus direct flights to Kharkov from Istanbul, Ukraine Airlines on the other hand, there are connecting flights from Kiev.
  • THY and Ukraine Airlines have direct flights to Odessa.
  • THY and Pegasus have direct flights to Zaporizhia from Istanbul.

Unfortunately, there is no train transportation from Turkey to Ukraine. Only Odessa can be reached by ship, but the journey time reaches 26 hours.. Therefore, the most ideal option for transportation to Ukraine is by plane.. If you do not want your trip to be limited to only one city when you go to Ukraine, my advice to you is to choose transportation by train, not by plane.. Because the flight ticket prices within Ukraine are unnecessarily expensive.

I said I wouldn’t know until I tried it and I made my journeys between Kharkov-Kyiv, Kyiv-Odessa by train.. And I got a lot of questions about it too.. For this reason, I wanted to deal with the issue of train travel in Ukraine with a more comprehensive article.. You can find all your questions about the subject in How to buy a train ticket to Ukraine in my article.
