You know, there are cities where you can find the best of every cuisine, which stand out not only with their local cuisine, but also with their success in world cuisine.. For example New York, for example Paris, for example Istanbul. (yes, we definitely think Istanbul belongs to this list) Here is one of those cities in Milan.. If you find the right places and go, or if you’re lucky and you come across the right places, what you eat will most likely be extremely palatable.. We didn’t throw that title for nothing, there is a reason! Once we really gained weight on the way back, we’re not kidding. Also, we are in Italy after all, it doesn’t count when you do things that would cause you to feel guilty under normal conditions, “but the pastries here are famous candy, what should we eat?” Hiding behind the rhetoric, you enter pizza, pasta, risotto whatever God has given you, and no one is stopping you.. It’s officially a Wonderland!
Milan, as an Italian city, can certainly blow your mind when it comes to food.. Since the city stands out especially in terms of Risotto and Ossobuco, it is not possible to return without visiting the places that do them well.. Don’t worry, of course you’ll find a great selection of other Italian and international cuisine as well, you don’t need to eat risotto from morning till night.
Here’s something you need to know about the food order in restaurants here and across Italy.. Here, the dishes come in an order that may seem interesting to most.. In this order, smoked meat, cheese plate, etc.. a snack, then a plate of pasta, then a meat dish, then fruit/dessert. You may have thought, how can I eat all that stuff, are you crazy?. However, the issue should not be evaluated as in Turkey or in other countries, because the portions here also come in this order.. Think about it this way, when we eat the food our mother made at home in Turkey, we put rice and meatballs side by side, you know? These guys eat it separately. Of course, this is not the case in every restaurant, it is usually the case in more traditional restaurants.. So, of course, you are not expected to go to a corner pizzeria and buy pasta first, and then you are not expected to come in a line like this, let’s get it.. However, this is the traditional style, we wanted to explain it so you don’t get confused.
Another thing you need to know is the issue of aperativo. What is aperitivo? It can be defined as the general name of the tradition of people to snack & drink and socialize before work / dinner, especially in Northern Italy.. But don’t be fooled by how we define it so simply, dear Italians, because they know how to enjoy very well, they have turned this aperitivo business into a very enjoyable process.. Many places offer aperitivo menus between 6 and 9 pm, and since it has a happy hour taste, drink prices are much more affordable within these aperitivo menus.. You can’t go back without doing it, we guarantee that you will look forward to that hour every day once you have already tried an aperativo.
Did we extend it? We’re keeping it short, here is the Milan Food & Drink Guide !
Milan Food and Drink Notes
Luini
Let’s start with a Milan classic; Lui! Every time you go here or pass by, you will notice that there is a line in front of you and you will very likely find yourself standing in line by saying “what the heck” even if you have never heard of it.. Small, shabby and not suitable for sitting, Luini is Milan’s most popular “panzerotti” venue.. What we call panzerotti is actually a double of puff pastry.. But there are many varieties that go on and on, such as mozzarella, tomatoes, olives, ham, cheese, and vegetables, and they are so soft that you just lay your head on it for 10 minutes or so before you eat it.. Conclusion? Let’s try, test, warn those who don’t try. You don’t have to be lazy to go because it’s so close to the cathedral, that panzerotti will be eaten!
-Address: Via Santa Radegonda 16
Pave
Pave is a very popular breakfast place in Milan these days. Don’t imagine a long-term breakfast with eggs and cheese plates, because it’s a bakery-like place.. Croissant etc. A sweet place based on things, where you can drink good coffee with you. If you go with the expectation of a great breakfast, you may get angry, so it will be more correct if you come here on the days when you will start a morning with the logic of “Let’s have a quick breakfast before visiting”.. Of course, besides breakfast, you can also stop by for a good coffee & delicious dessert combination.

Ratana
<
Here we come to one of the places where you can eat the “best” of something! Ratana is a sympathetic and handsome place that pushes the top of Milan’s list of places that make the best risotto. Yes ok, the prices are slightly above average, we accept. However, when you are in Milan, we do not want you to return without having a really good risotto.. By the way, you don’t need to focus only on risotto, they were also very successful in other dishes we tried.. If you are going to go, you may think that the place is in a strange place, do not be discouraged, you are in the right place.. Before we forget, reservations are a must!
-Risotto con Spinaci, Tagliolini Freschi and Pollo Ficatum Marinato Alla Curcuma are our special recommendations.. You can leave the wine selection to the employees, they are very sweet.
-Address: Via Gaetano de Castillia 28
Fabbrica Pizzeria con Cucina
Another legendary place, but this time the topic is pizza! This is a place in Milan, located in several different locations and famous for its pizzas.. It doesn’t matter if it’s lunch time or evening, always crowded, always waiting in line. But is it worth it? Oh, and what a form! If you want to try the classic Italian pizza, moreover, there are many varieties, I will be surprised what to choose, if you think that these fattenings must have a meaning, then throw yourself here in the first hour you set foot in Milan, like us.. If you go at noon, there is no need for a reservation, because the place where people eat and return to their work is in a permanent circulation.. What you eat is up to you, we recommend the entire menu.. For us, kiss the chef on the cheeks and don’t forget to ask for house wine with the pizza.
-Address: Viale Pasubio 2
Deus Cafe
The hipster heaven Deus Cafe, which is included in our list of cafes you can go to for every meal of the day, is actually a place with a “motorcycle” concept.. Inside, there is a store where products suitable for the concept are sold, as well as a restaurant section where you can dine.. It is also a very sweet alternative for an afternoon drink/coffee as it has a sweet courtyard outside.. If you are going to take a tour around Isola, you can evaluate this place afterwards.
-Address: Via Thaon di Revel 3
10 Corso Como
10 Corso Como, which we mentioned in our Milan travel guide, is another place that both sells design products and serves as a cafe.. This place is so popular, especially among bloggers, artists, half-famous social media addicts of Milan, that you can see it crowded like a maniac at any time of the day.. Especially if you go during Fashion Week, you may be excluded because you dress normally, wear something on your head, I don’t know, wear 2 different colored sneakers on your feet, find a shape so they think you’re a fashion blogger, don’t disgrace us there… By the way, don’t look at us kidding like that. , it is very nice as a place, the breakfast is very successful and we definitely recommend you to spend a morning here.. Let’s add that the prices are above average.
-Address: Corso Como 10
Dry
The clearest thing about Dry Let’s start with the information: If you don’t make a reservation, you can’t even cross the door.. Such a popular place. It has a very lively and fun atmosphere as it usually appeals to a young audience.. Especially since it is famous in the city for its cocktails and pizzas, you will very likely want to go and you will do very well.. Their pizzas are really successful, you don’t have any other choice as there is no alternative on the menu other than pizza.. Cocktail menus, on the other hand, offer special drinks of the venue as well as classic cocktails.. In short, you’d love it if you knew it!
-If you haven’t made a reservation, Pisacco, just opposite, is Dry’s sister business.. Yes, it’s not a Dry, but you can still find good alternatives.. (Except for his Aperativo, he’s so lousy)
-Address: Via Solferino 33
Bianco Latte
Coffee-loving hometown As coffee lovers who have come, of course, we searched for quality coffee in Milan.. Bianco Latte was one of the places we caught our eye before we went to Italy and we can say that their coffee is very successful.. You can also choose it for breakfast and dessert snacks.. If you expected us to say that OF AMAZING or something, you waited in vain, but it’s definitely not a bad choice for a little sightseeing break.
Rita
Rita has been around for years Known as one of the best in the city for aperitivo. It’s not famous for nothing, because they make such good cocktails that you can sit and drink for hours and lose yourself.. (We didn’t do anything like that, mom, don’t worry) We also realized the value of snacks after we stumbled upon a few crappy places for aperitivo, so we can guarantee that you will love Rita.. By the way, they praise for the dinner, we escaped after the aperativo. strong>
Mag Cafe
Speaking of ready-made aperitivo, one more successful place can’t be missed. Mag Cafe is like the living room of a house, it is a small venue with a large function.. They are masters in the aperativo business and offer a crazy variety of cocktails and also make some pretty good stuff.. Moreover, if you can’t decide what to drink in that crowd and chaos, if you describe to the employees what you want to drink, they collect all the sympathy points by bringing you a pinpoint drink as if they have known you for 10 years.. It can get a little (!) crowded during aperitivo time, so you should be prepared to wait a bit.

Nottingham Forest (Sad) includes a story……)
If you see a place from the “World’s 50 Best Bars” list in the city you are going to, wouldn’t you say let’s go? You would probably say. So how long would you wait to get into that bar? 15 minutes? Half an hour? 1 hour? 1.5 hours? You’ll say YUH, but we’re definitely not exaggerating. We, who normally cannot wait for 5 minutes to eat, waited in front of Nottingham Forest for exactly 1.5 hours as a result of a sudden greed and a strange patience that we could not understand where it came from.. This is an amazing little bar with about 7-8 tables. Their cocktails can be described as seriously distinctive and experimental like you’ve never encountered before.. The entire menu consists of drinks that each have their own stories.. Some of them are prepared with such different techniques that their scientific explanations had to be made and 1 paragraph on the menu tells about the techniques they prepared that drink.. As such, we did not give up and waited for such a crazy turn for the first time in our lives.. Conclusion? We don’t die for their cocktails (of course, it’s not right to generalize because we didn’t have the chance to try them all), but we are happy to have such interesting drinks, special cocktails and an interesting environment. Let’s just say it was a pleasure just to look at the menu.. Go if you are determined. If you are not determined enough, go again and have fun in the queue by playing charades like us, not realizing how much time has passed.
-When you go, don’t forget to get your name written on the man at the door, otherwise you’ll be waiting in vain.
-Address: Viale Piave 1 (closed before 18:00, no new customers after 12:30)
Taglio
To Taglio you can go for any meal of the day. All you have to do is go with high expectations. They’re not bad at anything, but we don’t claim to have the best of anything there.. As a matter of fact, we can even say that they are pretty bad at cocktails. However, they have a wide menu, they offer variety in breakfast (Eggs Benedict, omelette etc.).. In addition to typical Italian dishes, you can also find something from international cuisine for dinner.. Reservation is not essential, it doesn’t take long even if you wait a little bit.

Aromando Bistrot
<
Aromando Bistrot, which we both saw in the book Where Chefs Eat and heard from Vedat Milor, decided to try, although it is considered one of the best restaurants in the city, it is a place that arouses sympathy in the first meeting, as it creates a friendly home environment instead of a scruffy decoration.. Their employees are also very warm and sympathetic people, and they really try to help as much as they can (as long as they can overcome the language barrier).. Since we are not gourmets, we did not want to make an assertive comment about the food, but frankly, we did not see a big event.. Therefore, although we cannot make a statement like “You should definitely have a meal here in Milan”, we can say that it is at least worth a try.. You can stop by if you’re around.
-Address: Via Pietro Moscati 13
Bottega Cacao
Taking a coffee & dessert break while exploring the streets of Brera a cute place to stop by. Especially since they offer a great variety of desserts, you can lose yourself, nothing happens, you are on vacation, take it without hesitation. Also, be careful when ordering coffee here and throughout Italy.. Because if you are drinking latte, the equivalent here is “latte macchiato”.. If you only order latte, they will put milk in front of you, you will be surprised.. Tell me later, if you can tell your troubles. Things can get messy, especially if you come across people who work with scabies like this one here.
-Corso Garibaldi 12
GinO12
Gin lovers gather , we will say something. As you can understand from its name, it is a place that specializes in gin and makes all kinds of gin-containing drinks.. If you want to take your relationship with gin one step further than the gin and tonic duo, we think you can get along very well with GinO12, which has many gin cocktails with different ingredients in its menu.. It might also be a good idea to go during aperitivo time.. You’re welcome, our gin-loving friend, we thank you, one day you can suggest us a place, we’ll be even…
