Santa Clara, with a population of 120,000, is a newly established city where Che’s mausoleum is located. Those who loved Che very much settled here.
There is a large statue of Che in front of the mausoleum. Below it is written “Hasta la Victoria siempre”. It means “preserve the victory forever.”

Che comes from an aristocratic family. A true freedom fighter. He became a medical doctor in 1953.
