The first time I went to Belgrade for an individual trip was in late October 2016 in cold weather.. Those who want to travel can travel in all weather conditions, but if you are looking for maximum enjoyment, I say prefer the summer months.

How to Go to Belgrade? Belgrade Transportation
There are many options for transportation to Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport. On our first trip, when we had a very short time to travel, we decided on a sudden and bought tickets.. The fact that Serbia is cheap and close is what makes it attractive.. For this reason, last-minute tickets can be expensive.. It is necessary to research and plan ahead for the Belgrade sightseeing route.
You can use the A1 bus to get from the airport to the city.. Price 300 Serbian Dinars. The currency in the country is Serbian Dinar. At the airport, they exchange it at a very low rate as usual, so it is enough to change it as much as the road money.. The dollar rate is better than the Euro. If you bring a dollar with you, you can easily exchange it in the city center.. Or you can withdraw Serbian dinars from ATMs.
Belgrade City Transportation
Belgrade is a city that can be easily visited on foot. Cities with such a historical texture should definitely be visited on foot.. If you want, you can use the tram to take a city tour.. But if you ever take a taxi, make sure to turn on the meter.. If possible, use taxis with a pink sign, otherwise it is a possible scenario to be tricked by taxi drivers.

Belgrade Food and Beverage Recommendations
First of all, we should know that smoking is everywhere in Belgrade.. For this reason, you must specify your preference during your reservation.. And as it can be understood from the first sentence, you will not find a place at any venue during popular hours without a reservation.. Elekktika 40
This coffee shop, which is owned by a Turk, was a great resting place for us.. We loved their coffee and their smiling faces.

This is Belgrade’s oldest tavern. Because it is opposite the church, it was once a name meaning “Opposite the Church”.. Then when they got backlash they had to remove it.. The owner might not have decided on a new name either, so he put the name of the place with a question mark.
Kuccica
The only problem in this place where you sit down to fall into the river but impresses you with its view is the cocktails.. Sorry I didn’t like it but go for the view. There is a nightclub next to it.. Those who want to dance can escape there later.
Majstor İ Margarita
When we heard that it was among the 50 best pizza places in Europe, we wanted to go and try it.. We got very good calories. Especially the chocolate pizza we ate for dessert at the end, when I shared it on my Instagram account @oykununoykuleri!
Boho Bar
We loved this place we stopped by to have a pleasant time in the view of Kalemegdan with bohemian decorations.
Ambar Beton Hala

Angry Monk
We are in one of the most expensive and luxurious venues in Belgrade.. Amazing Asian cuisine. We liked what we ate, but I will write the most famous options. The star of the night was sushi and gyoza. Rock n roll, kamikaze, sandwich roll, crazy roll are the best sushi options.
My cocktail was sour and served with cotton candy. Music in the venue was the concept of Buddha Bar. I loved it.

Dva Jelena
This is the place you should definitely choose for a dinner. Located in the bohemian streets of the Skadarska region, this place is very traditional and enjoyable with its Serbian tavern culture and folkloric live music taste.. (2016 – 2 people drink and meal 150 TL)
Pekara Toma
Belgrade’s famous bakery. Go inside when you’re hungry while you’re out and dusting at noon. Everything you can think of, from dessert to pizza to pastries, is incredibly delicious.
Cantina De Frida
As you can see from its name, this restaurant with the concept of ‘Frida’ is located in the Concrete Hala area.. A place by the sea with delicious Mexican food with sophisticated venues compared to Belgrade. (2016 – 150 TL for 2 people)
Zemun Šaran Fish
You should try the fish on the tile and the house wine.
Berliner
Variety A cheap place where you can try beer and have delicious hot dogs and chickens. ( 2016 – 50 TL for 2 people)
What You Need to Know About Food and Drink in Belgrade
Rakija, the local drink of this land. Do not think that it is very hard and easy to drink like our raki.. It has many flavors, but I would like to leave a recommendation as the one with honey is the favourite..
Cevapci is our kebab culture.
Shopska is served with cheese on top of shepherd’s salad. I think it’s very delicious.
Places to Visit in Belgrade
KALEMEGDAN
Kale Meydan is the most beautiful place in Belgrade, where the castle given its name during the Ottoman period is located. tourist area. You should watch the view where the Danube and Sava rivers meet.. Once upon a time, Fatih attacked with cannons from here and you should see the Istanbul Gate.. Having a pleasant time in the park and going everywhere will make your time here quality.
The place you need to visit here is the Boho Cafe, which I went to in 2021. The place designed in a bohemian concept with a view of the castle is the day. very enjoyable at sunset hours.
KNEZ MIHAJLOVA
Walk a lot in this street that stretches along its length very similar to Istiklal Street and hang out at its places. Republic Square or or >Walking distance from places like Kalemegdan .
NATIONAL BANK OF SERBIA:
Printing a coin with your picture after visiting the bank, the most beautiful detail of which is the museum. Unfortunately we couldn’t as it was closed on the weekend! Close to Republic Square.
SKADARLIJA
Belgrade’s tourist area known as Bohemian District has local restaurants and nice bars.
Here in 2021 Restaurant Velika We went to Skadarlija and enjoyed our meal very much. In 2016, we tried Dva Jelena, which I mentioned above.
CATHEDRAL OF AZIZ SAVA
It may be the most magnificent spot in Belgrade. Saint Sava, which is said to be the largest Orthodox church in the world, is compared to Hagia Sophia by many.
TASMAJDAN & ST. MARK’S CHURCH
The church located in the Stone Square park is still operating. It was built with the intention of reviving Byzantine architecture in its time.
NIKOLA TESLA MUSEUM
I don’t know if it’s out of my respect and admiration for Nikola Tesla, but I couldn’t help thinking about what our life would be like if such a man lived here.. Because as you know, a personality who found the alternative current but was betrayed by Edison.. The entrance fee of the museum is 500 RSD. The guide is included in this price. To understand this museum, it is necessary to visit with a guide.. There are certain hours in it.. It’s a pretty small museum, but it can be said to be enjoyable with the experiments done inside.

Young area of Belgrade where you can choose for sunset and where cafes are located by the river.. If you want to take a boat tour on the river, the boats leave in front of the Warehouserestaurant.

The center of the new city, famous for its attractions. We can say a kind of Karşıyaka. Zemun has a much more European feel than Belgrade. I definitely think that 1 full day should be reserved.. Going to the Gardos Tower and watching the Zemun view is an activity that should not be skipped when you visit.
Belgrade Zemun Transportation
It takes half an hour to get from Belgrade to Zemun.. You can reach Zemun by taking the bus from Terazje Square bus stops near Knez Mihailova.
Novi Sad is a city visited by travelers who come to Belgrade and have an extra day.. Some say it’s even more enjoyable than Belgrade. If you have time, you can take it.
Belgrade and indeed all of Serbia host many festivals from time to time.. Do not forget to research beforehand to see if there is an event on your travel date.
