I have never been to Istanbul for so many generations. Now we are going to see the tulips in Emirgan Grove.. We fell in love with Yıldız Park. We expect the same performance from Emirgan Grove.. You can go to Emirgan Grove by any bus going to Sarıyer.. You can also go with your own car, but in such places, I go without a car in order not to deal with parking and traffic.. If the weather is nice, I usually prefer walking by watching the Bosphorus from the beach and taking in the Bosphorus air.

Today for Those Who Perished on the Way to Emirgan Grove
If you wish, you can come by sea with the ferries departing from Eminönü and the Anatolian side. I think it’s a very good option.. Do not get on the ferries that tour the Bosphorus, but. They come back from the foot of the second bridge. It does not dock at any pier.
We take the bus from Beşiktaş. There is terrible traffic. Even though it’s weekdays and midday. We can hold out until Bebek on the bus.. We get off there and walk the rest of the way. I decide that this is the most popular bus after the 500T.
It is a very nice road against the Bosphorus air and view. Walking in the Bosphorus, which I used to cross by boat, did not leave a sad smile, but both have their place.. They have widened the walking path since the baby was born.. They filled the sea.
In my country, which is covered with seas on three sides and even has a sea of its own, the sea is hated so much.. Soon, the two coasts will unite, instead they will open a channel in Thrace.. While the sea is being filled on the one hand, a new strait is being created on the other.. This nature is not suitable for human beings. We don’t like it and we always make it again.
Emirgan Grove Tulip Era
In ancient times, Emirgan Grove was used to go by boat.. There’s no bridge. In the past, a part of it was a recreation area, 75 years ago, Istanbul Municipality bought it and opened it to the public completely.
In 1635, Sultan IV. Murat gave the garden to Emirgüneoğlu Tahmasb Kulu Han (Yusuf Pasha), and this place was first called “Emirgüne Garden”, then the name of the garden was changed to “Mirgün Garden” and “Mirgün”. Eventually, the whole region began to be called Emirgan.
There are 120 kinds of plants in the grove. Its history dates back to the Byzantine period.. There are three mansions inside. Yellow Mansion, Pink Mansion and White Mansion. These mansions, built a century before me, stand stronger than me.
They decorated the Emirgan grove like a bride.. To be honest, I haven’t been before and I don’t know why I didn’t.. Purples mixed with yellows, pinks mixed with whites. It smells terrific, it’s a feast for our eyes.
An official set has been prepared for photographers and the public, with various themes sprinkled throughout the grove.. I loved the flamingos they prepared with fabric roses.. It turns out that there were flamingos that I could not see all the way to Africa.
A big heart is placed in a corner.. I ask Kuwaiti tourists, they take my pictures. I don’t know how we talked so much in those two minutes, when we got together.. How could I have discovered Emirgan Grove so late?
Tourists have such an interest that it embarrasses me.. I don’t know why we wouldn’t go right under our noses even if it was on the other side of the world.. They came all the way from Kuwait and were welcome.
We sit in the Pink Mansion in the grove and make a tea and dessert pairing. prices are reasonable. As you wander through the grove, you come across lakes, waterfalls, butterflies and colorful flowers.. The purple flowers are full of bees, and the white tulips right next to them have no bees.. How are these bees going?
One is confused about what to photograph.. Emirgan Grove is waiting for tulip lovers between April 1-30. When we are in the grove the day after it opened, we come across a very crowded place even on weekdays.
When you walk up, a huge mansion welcomes you.. There is also a restaurant there.. At the top, the Bosphorus is under your feet. My Istanbul is beautiful in tulip time too.
Surprise of the day, Sweet Squirrel
Someone mentioned squirrels on the way to the park. I hope you will see. It didn’t even occur to me because I had no hope.. While we were going down, we saw a security guard feeding a squirrel with his hand.. I can’t explain how cute it is.
I think I’m in love. Officially he stopped and posed for us.. The attendant said he fed her every day. “What’s her name?” I asked. It doesn’t have a name. Did I mention that I have honey?
We came across such a beautiful weather and enjoyed it.. We came early for Judas trees. What are we doing then? We are going again in Judas season.
