Süphan I’m going to Bodrum when I should go to the mountain and fight with the snow. such is life. I’m going to see an old friend that I used to pass by the Bodrum sign years ago when I was offended by the popularity of the crowd.. Bodrum welcomes me in its calmest and calmest state.

Don’t forget to follow me on my instagram account. I tell a lot in stories and highlights

Getting to Bodrum

Rainy and cold I arrive at Milas-Bodrum airport on a sunny afternoon, starting from an Istanbul weather.. I reach Bodrum from Milas in half an hour with Havaş.. Bus Station in the center of Bodrum. My hotel is two steps away. My friend has a motor, he greets me. It is wonderful to tour Bodrum by motorbike.. Most people already have scooters.

In Bodrum, which is very crowded in the season, the traffic is incredible, and transportation by motor is very practical.. The weather is so beautiful that one can’t believe it came from the cold weather.

Walking in the harbor, watching the boats, immersing in the lights of the distant castle, inhaling the scent of orange blossoms in the full moon breeze, feeling alive. Welcome, old friend.

Diving in Bodrum

The purpose of my visit to Bodrum is to dive. I get up early in the morning and run to my dive boat.. My other loyal friend, the sea is waiting for me. I will open my diving season.

I will open the season I ended in the Red Sea last time in Bodrum.. It’s a bit breezy but I’m determined. Plane wrecks and riffs that I asked and learned before are waiting for me.. Despite the breeze, the sun is so beautiful.

  • Click if you want to read about my Red Sea adventure.

Our diving preparations are completed and the water is waiting for me in front of me. Even though everyone says it’s cold, it seems normal to me as someone who is very cold.. That first jump, the moment of meeting those salty waters is unforgettable.. A little briefing and we’re down.

The C-47 Dakota plane was sunk for us divers in 2008, and in 2010 the main body was separated from the cockpit and descended.. Great excitement for those who like shipwreck dives like me with their huge wings and propellers.

Our diving team, who had a hard time swimming against the current on the way, turns easily on the way back.. It’s a smooth and enjoyable dive.. I’m a two star diver. There are introductory dives for those who have never dived and are curious, and trainings for those who want to get a star and star.

Paçoz Bay

Paçoz Bay’. Calm, like a pool, our view is amazing. There is usually lunch on dive boats.. Two dives a day are around 150 liras including food.

As soon as our dives are over, the boat moves as soon as I take my foot off the water.. After getting too cold on the last dive, I decide not to dive the next day.. While wandering around quietly and peacefully, I meet my friends and the rest of the holiday turns into fun.

Bodrum Nights

First we want to go to Mahmut Kaptan‘s place.. It’s a small shabby place but very friendly. Mahmut Kaptan is only open in winter.. captains the season. I love their appetizers and liver. I travel to the old times with the music songs played by an old oud, with dozens of photographs of ancient times on its walls.

I eat mustard grass to try, but I decide not to eat it again.. Bodrum of years ago embraces me very calmly. She seems determined to reveal every aspect of her I love and never send me back again.

We are meeting with friends at Defne Tavern at night. We fall in love with their appetizers and oyster mushrooms. Musicians who only come out on the weekend wipe the rust of our ears. Bodrum means nightlife.

Tower bar It’s a popular destination for young people with Turkish and foreign rock songs.. Mandarin appeals to techno lovers. It’s a nicer place. Körfez is a very interesting place. Here is the blood we’re looking for for our age group.

We sing, dance and pass out to Fredy Mercury from MFÖ. It’s nice to have fun when Bodrum is lonely and quiet.

Bodrum Bays

The next day, our trip starts from the windmills by motor.. On the way from the marina to Gumbet, we see the windmills on the hill.. You can go up to the side of the road that leaves from the left.. The windmills accompany the blue sea view with its yellow flowers so beautifully.

Lemon Tree in Bitez bay continues with a magnificent breakfast. Do not be surprised if you have a famous person at your next table in Bodrum.

Faik of Safiye Soyman cuts my observation. Akçabük in Akyarlar is my favorite with its calmness and the beauty of its sea.. Years ago, I loved Yahşi for the same reasons.

We take a break here and swim in the sea. When I look behind me I see a hill with a flag. I have a tremendous urge to climb up there.. When my friends feel the same excitement, we decide to climb.

It is easier to go to the hill with lots of wild grass and rocky places from the back side, but we like the challenge.. It is important to have shoes suitable for climbing on your feet and to wear long legs to protect your legs.

Brushes scratch one’s legs a lot.. We climb from place to place and see the top. The view below is unbelievably beautiful.. One never comes to a lair.

Then, to look at all the bays from one hill to the other, pass through flowers and mimosas in a thousand and one shades of yellow and purple, to sink the day We are going to Gümüşlük.

The streets, the music playing, the tables decorated with colorful flowers, spread out over the beach, give us a very pleasant sunset.. Fabulous, calm and peaceful.

Bodrum Castle

When I came to Bodrum many years ago, an archaeological museum was being built inside the Bodrum castle, it was under construction.. I’m going to see her latest version. weather summer weather. The castle is open even though it’s Monday. A separate exhibition area in each tower of the castle.

As in the past, I can hardly get out of the English tower, I have a lot of fun.. How many French tourists are there?. That tower is this tower, a view of Bodrum from every place, when you say the Serpent Tower, it’s the time of the dungeons.

The dungeon is reached through such long winding roads, and the steps are so high.. When I open the door of the dungeon and look inside, I think of the steep stairs and those who descended to not get out of here before.

They also made an animation below. It’s promising to look at the light above from below. I wonder how many prisoners brought here regained that light and I think they were able to get out of here.. I’m running step by step and taking a breath.

Don’t go to Bodrum and say you haven’t visited its castle, you must enter it.. Entrance to the credit card (Is Bank) used by people who travel a lot like me is free, otherwise, if you don’t have a museum card, the entrance is 30 liras, but it’s worth it.

The towers close at lunchtime, but the ship at the entrance, which was thought to have sunk in 626, was found off the coast of Turgutres in 1961. the place where exactly the same is exhibited is open. If you’re crazy about a boat like me, touching and climbing on top of it can make you very happy.

Zeki Müren Museum

My name is I’m going to Zeki Müren‘s house]. On the street next to Halicarnassus, closed on Mondays. Accompanied by the magnificent voice of our Art Sun, I am visiting the house where he lived, with the items he touched.. People get emotional so much.

He could not go upstairs of that beautiful house for many years due to health problems and lived downstairs.. His car is standing in his garden. They made a huge statue of him.. He watches Bodrum, which he loves so much.. Well, I wonder if Zeki Müren saw us too?

Now it’s time to find a quiet lonely cove and lie down, sunbathe, chat and laze. Isn’t even the idea of finding a lonely cove in Bodrum strange? but just away from the crazy crowd, it’s Bodrum time

The flavors I remember from Bodrum: Oyster mushrooms from Defne tavern, Mahmut Kaptan’s liver, small shabby doner kebab place opposite Tepecik mosque, Bodrum doner with vegetables , Salted soup of the Kırçiçek restaurant on the 24-hour beach and the Yunuslar patisserie that provoked us as we passed by
What I remember: Bodrum castle, windmills, plane wreck, mimosas, scents of orange blossoms and not to be forgotten if you’re going to Bodrum What you need:

Don’t carry the stress of Istanbul to Bodrum, if you were in a hurry, why did you come to Bodrum
