There is a tiring side to weekend getaways, of course, since I prefer the bus instead of the plane, when you get to your destination in the morning, with feet and legs that are 2 times larger than normal, hand and foot tingling and napping, which you think you have gone through while sleeping all night, are a part of this type of travel.. However, getting away from Istanbul even for 2 days, getting rid of all your tiredness by swimming in the clean blue sea, getting plenty of oxygen, all this road fatigue is worth it.. Also, sometimes you get lucky and if the passenger next to you does not come and you have 2 seats in the bus where all the seats are full, it means that you have a perfect journey. We come to the facilities in Çeşme for at least 10 days.. Although I cannot stay with them at the facility since my family is no longer obliged to take care of me because I am working, it is possible to benefit from all kinds of facilities at very funny prices.. I took the bus on Friday night and came to my family for the weekend.. Some of you “Is it worth the journey for 2 days?” he may ask. My answer is “definitely worth it”.
What to do when it comes to Çeşme? To talk about my ritual; ping-pong match with dad. For the first time in my life, 2 sets are bought and the father is defeated, a walk is made between the classic camp and Çeşme.. You can eat stuffed zucchini flowers at Imren Lokantasi, which is a very old restaurant, eat gummy ice cream at Methan Ice Cream, located on the square just across the Cesme Castle, and take a walk on the beach.. And this time, unlike the others, mojitos are drunk at the Canvas’ opened at the marina built last year in Çeşme.. Tuval is a restaurant that is also in Alaçatı.. The food is quite delicious, although a little expensive, the ambiance, the taste of the food and the view in front of you are worth the money.
By the way, the 106-year-old historical ship, M/S Hulda, which has been the home and workshop of sculptor İlhan Koman for 21 years, is located in Çeşme Marina for a year under the sponsorship of Çeşme Marina. Ilhan Koman’s recent works will be exhibited on the deck of the boat.. Until June 9, 2011, you can visit the exhibition and breathe the fascinating air of the boat.. If you are looking for a quiet and calm environment, Çeşme is still very unexplored compared to Alaçatı.. Definitely a peaceful place.
Don’t leave here without stopping by Çeşme’s bazaar, which opens on Sundays.. If you find the pepper paste sold in the markets to be artificial and if you like to cook, I recommend you to buy pepper paste from the market.
Ayayorgi
If you don’t know or haven’t noticed until now, keep in mind that all facilities in Ayayorgi opens at 10:00. When we arrived at Babylon, it was 09:30, after some insistence and little begging like ‘we’ve come a long way, we’ll go to the sea anyway, we don’t need a mattress’, there we were.. Being in Babylon at this hour has a different taste… Nobody is there, silence reigns and the entire facility belongs to you only… Our 3-day adventure in Çeşme was filled with swimming, sunbathing, and eating.. In addition to the Cesme article I wrote before, I would like to share with you the places I have just discovered and will definitely recommend.. Your stop for a wonderful dinner in Alaçatı is ‘Roka Bahçe’… Enter the street where the restaurants are in Alaçatı, continue towards the end, you will see it on the left.. It is a restaurant where you can eat more calmly compared to other restaurants and if you enjoy eating Aegean herbs, definitely do not pass by.. Another place for your breakfast.
You may not find the location of the restaurant pleasant, it’s right across the Migros on the way to Çeşme centre.. But the breakfast they offer is simply amazing. If you’re after a taste rather than a view, I’d say don’t miss out on breakfast at Breakfast First’, whose prices are also very affordable.
The best way to start the day energetically is, It’s a delicious breakfast, but if you’re on a diet, don’t go, it’s impossible not to stop without eating the toasted village bread they offer.
I’ve Got a Torpedo from the Universe
We had a conversation with Rozi during the holiday. The other activity was that we read aloud the book that my dear Füsun gave me, whom I met during my recent trip to Nepal.. Aykut Oğut‘s untitled book written after I Have a Torpedo from the Universe’, a personal development book with a mirror on the cover. The language of the book is very sincere, you don’t even realize how you skipped the pages while reading.
I can’t pass without skipping the part that we had the most fun while reading.
The part where the author talks with his own ego. Regarding weight loss, she describes her position as box A and the position she wants to be as box B.. In order to be able to move from box A to box B, and after reaching the ideal weight, she must first reach her ideal weight in order to switch to the “I can live my life without gaining weight no matter what I eat” mode.. But as he progresses on this path, he constantly encounters organizations such as invitations and cruises.. That’s when ‘Ego’ stands before her. Ego says: Cruise only 7 days, eat and drink as you please. But this is not the right way to go to box B. What does the author do in this situation? He confronts his ego and talks, he says: if I eat healthy on a cruise, if I exercise, when I reach my ideal weight, there will be times when I will give you rewards.. And every time Ego comes across it, he talks to it, explaining what advantages it would have if it went to box B.. This is not only valid for weight loss, but if you have an ‘Ego’ that comes across when you reach the points you want to be in all matters, he recommends you to talk to him.. The value that the book gives to each reader may be different, that’s why there is no name of the book and you see yourself on the cover of the book, the purpose is to be aware of yourself… Although after reading the chapter I mentioned, I recommend you to read the book, even if we succumb to our ‘Egos’ by ordering a beer and a potato.
I wish you all a lot of days when you will have many conversations with your ‘Ego’… I dedicate it to me and to our source of inspiration, İlhan Koman, whom I mentioned in planning this trip and in my previous article…
