Abu Dhabi Travel Guide

Oil-rich Abu Dhabi, one of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates and its capital, although it lost the first place in terms of tourism to Dubai, with a trip to Dubai a city to visit. Abu Dhabi travel guide in my article Where is Abu Dhabi, How to get to Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi visa, I will talk about topics such as >Abu Dhabi hotels. For places to visit, you can review my article THINGS TO WATCH IN ABU DHABI.

General Information

I have mentioned in my DUBAI TRAVEL GUIDE article the common things of the emirates such as the management style of the United Arab Emirates, daily life, the time difference with Turkey, the currency dirham (AED) and the Abu Dhabi visa. If we look at where Abu Dhabi is, the map I marked below will give an idea.

When to Go – How Long to Stay

Like Dubai, Abu Dhabi is also a hot desert Avoid going in the summer months as the climate is good, otherwise temperatures above 40 degrees may destroy all your desire to travel.. I think the best times are spring months; so that you can open the summer season early and start tanning in April Those who say they will not take a sea-sun holiday can go during the winter months when the average temperature is 20 degrees.

My opinion on how long to stay and places to visit I mentioned it while telling, I think it’s enough to even go for a day. Those who have more time can see the whole city in 2 days and spend the remaining days with alternatives such as shopping and swimming in the sea/pool.

Abu Dhabi’ s magnificent Sheikh Zayed Mosque..

Abu Dhabi Transportation

If you are arriving at Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH), you can take a taxi or take a bus to the city center for AED 4. Etihad Airways and of course Turkish Airlines have direct flights to Abu Dhabi from Istanbul.. A direct flight from Istanbul takes around 5 hours.

Check also Air Arabia, which has flights to Sharjah Airport, it can be purchased if there is a significant price difference. You can go from Sharjah to Abu Dhabi with Air Arabia’s shuttle bus in 2.5 hours for 40 AED.. If you are going to buy your flight ticket from Sharjah, you can consider starting your trip from Dubai, considering that Dubai is closer to Sharjah (1 hour).. Click here for Sharjah – Abu Dhabi bus times.

The interior of Sheikh Zayed Mosque is also quite magnificent.

How to Get from Dubai to Abu Dhabi?

If you are going to rent a car from Dubai, you can follow the wide highway named Sheikh Zayed Road, the vehicle already has navigation. Ferrari World, which will probably be your first stop, is 110 km away from the center of Dubai.

If you are very comfortable or if you are a group with a large group of children, you can take a taxi, it costs around 250 – 300 AED.

The cheapest way is to go by bus like I did. It costs AED 25 one way, you need to load this amount on your Nol card and have the card scanned while getting on the bus. For information about this card, you can refer to my DUBAI TRANSPORTATION GUIDE.. Buses depart from where you got off at the IBN Battuta stop of the metro, and you can charge your card for AED 55 – 60 to return here by bus plus metro.

Abu Dhabi Ferrari World

The bus to Abu Dhabi leaves from the E101 stop. There is a bus for 50-60 minutes on Friday – Saturday and every half hour on other days.. I was going to go on Saturday and I was glad that I could get on the bus when it was right on time, but I was turned away because the bus was full and I had to wait for the next bus an hour later.. The bus I took was full half an hour before departure and its doors were closed.. In other words, buses can fill up early and if you are there early, don’t wander around saying “it has yet to get up anyway”, get on the bus and wait inside.. When you arrive at the stop, don’t forget to check what time the last return bus is.

Visit both Sheikh Zayed Mosque and Ferrari World, which I think are the minimum must-see places in Abu Dhabi. If you’re going to do it, start at Ferrari World first, because it’s closer to Dubai (you’ll have extra commute if you start from the mosque). When you get on the bus, say you will get off at Ferrari World, after about an hour’s journey, it will drop you off at the nearest stop and take a short taxi ride (if there are other people getting off at the same stop, you can offer to share the taxi). Then it takes about 25 minutes by taxi to go to the mosque.. Ask for the buses returning to Dubai at the exit of the mosque, depending on the front you exit, you can find a bus stop within walking distance.. At worst, take a taxi to Abu Dhabi Central Bus Station and return on the same bus E101 you came from.

The dance performances at Ferrari World are worth watching.

Abu Dhabi Hotels

There are many 4 and 5 star hotels in Abu Dhabi, in keeping with the concept of “everything is super luxury” in the United Arab Emirates.. For example, if your primary goal for travel is to swim, you can choose a hotel close to the beach such as Al Bateen Beach, a hotel close to a shopping center such as Abu Dhabi Mall for shopping, or a hotel in Yas Island if you are close to Ferrari World.. Abu Dhabi Shopping – What to Buy in Abu Dhabi

As I mentioned in my Dubai article, United Arab Emirates Even though cheap shopping is a dream now, if you want to take a look, you can choose shopping centers.. You will come across shopping malls like Abu Dhabi Mall, Khalidiyah Mall, Marina Mall, Rotana Mall, similar to those in Istanbul.. When you come to Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, if you want to look at a shopping mall near the mosque, you can stop by Mushrif Mall, which is 10 km away.. If you are going to make a medium or large-scale purchase, do not forget to ask if it is possible to get taxes back, and if possible, ask for the tax free form.

If you like gold and jewelry You’ll find it in abundance in the United Arab Emirates.

For those who want to shop tax-free, there are duty free shops in every terminal of Abu Dhabi Airport, similar to Dubai Airport.. Do not forget to review, especially tobacco products such as cosmetics, perfumes, electronic products, cigarettes.. As a souvenir, buy plenty of dates for your partner, there are also different varieties covered with chocolate.
