Change in Plans: New Route Darwin

Ahh Alice Springs! It’s so hard to come in, it’s so hard to leave, you have to travel long distances and pay a fortune. If I fly from Alice Springs to Cairns or Brisbane, I have to go back to Darwin from there.. Likewise, it is very difficult to get from Brisbane to Darwin.

You have to take the road of around 3,500 km or fly.. I think I’ll leave Australia without seeing the Great Barrier Reef, as it’s pretty expensive either way.

This reef off the east coast of Australia is breathtakingly beautiful and can be seen from space.. My dream of diving in these coral reefs will be for another time. Likewise, my dream of diving in Fiji did not come true.. Let’s say millet to Indonesia or Malaysia now. I think I’ll take it out there.

Because there were no reasonable transfer options for Brisbane and Cairns on the bulletin boards, I decided to go to Darwin with my New Zealand friend Laurie.. That’s why we decided to rent a motorhome.

After making the necessary reservations and prepayments yesterday, we posted our advertisement on Australia’s famous website Gumtree, and posted our route and contact information on the bulletin board of YHA Darwin hostel.. On the way from Alice Springs to Darwin, we have room for 4 more people who can share the fuel cost with us.. We went to the other 2 hostels in Alice Springs and hung our advertisement on their board.. Now my next route is clear: Darwin.

We have also posted the same rental car for the Uluru visit, the reason why I am in Alice Springs, and for those who want to join us.. We interviewed two Australian kids who, like us, want to go to Uluru and have a Jeep.. Each of us decided to go to Uluru together on the condition of filling a tank of fuel, but since we had to be in Alice on Thursday at the latest, towards the evening, the young people texted us that they wanted to spend more time in Uluru, so we could not go together, which caused us to waste time.

While we were hanging our ad on the board, we talked to Canadian Shelly, who was reviewing the ads on the board.. He wants to come with us to Darwin but seems hard to catch up. He wants to go to Uluru like us and has agreed to join a team.. If he can catch up, he will join us for Darwin.

As a result of our correspondence with Benjamin, an Australian, who saw our announcement of our departure to Darwin on the Internet, we guaranteed Darwin a travel companion.. When Benjamin joined us again and said that he wanted to come to Uluru, we decided to go to Uluru by car early tomorrow morning.. Tomorrow’s route is Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.
