Dubai Nightlife & Food & Drink

If you have no idea about life in Dubai, do you know what I mean by nightlife in the title of the article? and you may have wondered how to have fun in an Arab country. Fortunately, Dubai is not such a place You will feel very good when you dress up as you want, drink alcohol and dance at the venue you go to.. On top of that, you will be accompanied by the city’s never cold sweet evening air and the magnificent evening views from the famous terrace bars.. So let’s take a look at the topics like Dubai food, Dubai nights, Dubai nightlife.

Dubai has a colorful and fun nightlife.

In this article, we start with where you can eat and where you can have fun. I will continue. Although the price that everyone will pay is different according to what is eaten and smoked, I will try to add the prices to give you an idea.. And what side they are on, of course.

Don’t forget to read my article WHERE TO STAY IN DUBAI, where I make hotel recommendations that will make it easier for you to choose between Dubai’s beautiful hotels; I have gathered for you the most beautiful hotels in the city center, on the beach, by the sea, on the palm island and near the airport.

DUBAI FOOD – What to Eat in Dubai?

Let’s start with the bad news; Eating and drinking is very expensive in Dubai. Even in a medium-good restaurant, you should be prepared to pay around 50 TL for a hamburger or around 40 TL for a margharita pizza.. Those who don’t want to spend that much money on food should buy something from the markets or deal with McDonald’s/Burger King (There is one when you leave the Emirates Towers stop on the subway and the prices are about the same as in Turkey).

You may need to budget a little for food.

I’m sure you’re wondering about alcohol.. It’s a bit confusing but I’ll try to explain. Here’s the rule: Normal restaurants can’t serve alcohol, places attached to hotels can. I mean, if your destination is in a hotel, I would say that there is alcohol, but there are also those who pretend to be on their own and serve alcohol, for example Trader Vic’s.. Still, considering the general rule valid, let’s say that there is probably no alcohol in the cafes or restaurants you stop by on the way.

I tried to list some of the good restaurants that can be considered relatively affordable and where they are located below.. Consider paying 30-50 TL per person for the cheaper ones in the first part and 100 TL per person for the slightly higher priced ones in the second part.

The prices from here are local. I will give in dirhams (AED), which is the currency. When I went, I was getting 3/4 of the dirham prices and roughly equivalent to TL, but now they are almost the same.. Click here for the current rate.

Finally, let me point out that I got most of the images from the internet.

Foul W Hummus

Foul W Hummus: One of the most affordable and beautiful options to try local flavors from Middle Eastern cuisine somebody. Hummus and falafel are delicious. The dishes on the menu are illustrated (it’s important to know what we choose) and the prices are around 20 AED When you exit the Sharaf DG metro stop, 250m ahead, opposite Coral Boutique Hotel.

Shawarma Twist: We can say that “Shawarma” is the doner of Dubai. You can try this fast food product, which is made with different sauces, has meat-chicken-fish-sujuk varieties, served in wraps or on a plate.. Wraps cost around AED 20 and portions around AED 40. It is 1 km inside the Sharaf DG metro stop.. His name is Shawar.. It is possible to try the famous doner kebab in other restaurants, such as.

Dubai’s doner “shawarma”

Cabrito Mandi and Haneeth Restaurant: Another good example of Middle Eastern and Arabic cuisine. You can try chicken or lamb dishes. It is 3 km behind Mall of the Emirates.. Chicken dishes are around AED 35 and lamb dishes around AED 70.

Reem Al Bavadi: Middle Eastern cuisine chain with several branches in the city. In Dubai, hookah is called “shisha” and you can enjoy shisha here.. The view of the branch in Downtown Dubai is the most beautiful, after coming to the Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall stop by metro, you can get tired of visiting Dubai Mall and enjoy familiar tastes such as hookah, falafel, appetizers, accompanied by the view of Burj Khalifa.. The branch in Dubai Marina is not bad either.. I think it costs around AED 90 per person.

Sophie’s: If you get hungry while enjoying the beach at Riva Beach in Palm Jumeirah, you should stay away from expensive restaurants and choose Sophie’s Cafe, which prioritizes healthy food.. You can go to the place for breakfast, which is open between 07:00 – 21:00, or you can have a nice meal for around 60 AED, smoothie options are also good. If you have trouble locating it, ask where is Building 8.

Sophie’s

Burger 360: One of the good options in Dubai Marina for hamburger lovers. Their special burger named The B360 is 45 AED. A little further from the 5-star hotel Grosvenor House, there is the Marina Tower and it is open from 12:00 to 01:00.

Now, let’s move on to the ones with higher prices.

Trader Vic’s: The restaurant in Madinat Jumeirah bazaar has a beautiful view. It opens at 12:00 and can be visited in the afternoon.. If you want to go in the evening, try to make a reservation and dress stylishly without exaggeration.. The venue, which is crowded and fun with live music, also serves alcohol.. Its cocktails and especially Tiki Puka Puka are famous. Main courses start from AED 60.

Order Tiki Puka Puka at Trader Vic’s.

Cheesecake Factory: Don’t be fooled by the name of this famous American restaurant chain and think that they only serve cheesecake. The dessert menu is extensive, but there are also many dishes. The restaurant has branches in Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates and Jumeirah Beach Residence, with meal prices starting from AED 55 and cheesecake prices from AED 25. Open from 09:00 to 23:00.

Shakespeare and Co.: Another chain restaurant. The branch in Souk Al Bahar with a view of Dubai Fountain and Burj Khalifa is the most beautiful (Souk Al Bahar was right next to Dubai Mall). You can choose Italian dishes such as pasta and lasagna.. Main courses start from AED 40. Open from 07:00 to 00:00.

Dubai Hard Rock Cafe

Hard Rock Cafe: Did you think there was no Hard Rock Cafe in Dubai, of course there is Although it is sad that it is a bit far from the center, those who love it, say they will stop by in every city I go to, or stay at the airport side may prefer. The Hard Rock environment we are used to with the flavors we know and love, there is also alcohol.. Open until 01:00 (Thursday and Friday 02:00). My favourite, Legendary Burger, is AED 59.

It is located on the banks of Dubai Creek in the area called Dubai Festival City.. The nearest metro stop, Emirates, is about 3 km away.. Or, if you are coming with the green line, you can get off at the Creek station on the opposite bank of the estuary and cross it.

Dubai Lebanon Tavern Al Qasr

Al Qasr: There is live music and belly dancers on weekends in the restaurant that keeps Middle Eastern culture alive with Lebanese food and music.. Alcohol is served. It may be convenient to make a reservation, you can also ask about the program of the day you call.. It can be crowded if you come across as some tour companies offer dinner at this restaurant as an extra tour. Set menu prices range from AED 200 to 250 depending on the day.. Located in Dubai Marine Beach Resort & Spa, very close to Jumeirah Mosque.. Here’s the menu and website for reservations.

Dhow Cruise: Offered as an open buffet dinner with unlimited soft drinks on board the Dubai Creek , can be a romantic choice. I didn’t ask for the prices but I guess it’s around 150 – 200 AED. It is held between 20:30 and 22:30, you can learn the details here.

For local tastes, camel meat, camel milk, Iranian bread “naan”, spicy lamb meat You can try “makbus” made, “ghuzi” in which shredded lamb is served on rice with almonds.. Seafood is also plentiful.. In order not to miss your coffee pleasure, order the Arabic coffee “qahwa” served with dates

DUBAI NIGHTLIFE & ENTERTAINMENT

Let’s go from cheap to expensive again. All of the things I’m counting have alcohol.

Zero Gravity

Zero Gravity: One of the most successful places for nightlife in terms of price – performance. You can go early to eat and then continue to disco hour, or go around 11pm and have fun late with alcohol + snacks and pay an average of 100 AED (or more). Cocktails start from AED 40, beers from AED 30, main courses from AED 75. As the prices are affordable and there is no obligation to dress stylishly, it is inevitable that the average age will remain a little low.. We can say that it is a place that is mainly house music, shabby and fun.. On the way to Skydive Dubai, the nearest metro stop is DAMAC Properties. If you’re coming by tram, Dubai Marina.

The Rooftop Terrace: Especially the European population (called expat) who came to Dubai to work, go after work, Nice place to visit with a nice terrace view overlooking the Palm Island and Arabian appetizers. You can go at the end of the happy hour from 5 pm to 8 pm and witness their lives and feel like a native of Dubai.. Open until 01:00, an appetizer platter costs AED 75, and a couple of drinks with it costs around AED 150 per person.. Located at the top of the One&Only Royal Mirage Hotel in Dubai Marina, the nearest tram stop is Palm Jumeirah.. Sports – don’t forget to dress smart (smart casual).

Dubai Buddha Bar

Buddha Bar: If you like Far Eastern culture and cuisine, you might like Buddha Bar full of Buddha statues.. In the place where a very nice atmosphere is created with its decoration, 8 sushi starts from 85 AED, there are other normal dishes for those who do not like sushi.. Or it might be a good idea to go at midnight when it is very crowded and play the last music, and try the options on the wine menu, which surprises with its variety.. It is located on the ground floor of the 5-star hotel Grosvenor House in Dubai Marina.. The nearest metro station is DAMAC Properties. If you are arriving by tram Dubai Marina. It will cost an average of AED 150 (or more) per person for food + alcohol.

Siddharta Lounge: In the same hotel as Buddha Bar (Grosvenorhouse ) The magnificent view of the venue, located on the fourth floor, is accompanied by the background music of the Buddha Bar.. Since it closes at 00:00 at night, we can classify it as “late dinner” instead of an entertainment venue, “eat dinner and then continue chatting with a drink”.. Don’t forget to make a reservation to grab one of the tables with the best view on the terrace, suitable for dinner with a lover or a luxury business meeting.

Siddharta Lounge

Cocktails start from AED 65, glass of wine and vodka from AED 50. It will cost an average of 250 AED (or more) per person for food + alcohol. If you want to come during the day, it might be a good idea to try the hookah called “shisha”.

Zuma: Zuma’, which is considered a very high quality restaurant where Japanese cuisine is served. You can go to the bar & lounge for a drink during happy hour instead of the expensive meals in. Open between 12:00 – 01:00 (Thursday – Friday until 02:00). Located in Dubai International Finance Center (DIFC). You can get off at one of the Metro stops at the Financial Center or Emirates Towers.. Don’t forget to dress stylish.

Dubai 360

360: Jumeirah Beach Hotel’s restaurant & bar above the sea at the end of the “marina walkway” is one of the most enjoyable places to watch the evening view of the famous sailboat-shaped Burj Al Arab hotel and the view of Dubai.. There is a happy hour between 17:00 and 20:00 every day except Friday.. If you go to the venue after 21:00, which is open until 02:00 (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 03:00), you need to dress stylishly and make a reservation.. Asian cuisine goes for the fun, not for the restaurant section they offer, so if you don’t eat I guess the drinks will cost AED 200 (or more) per person. The nearest metro stop is FGB. Here is the website for information and reservation.

People by Crystal

People by Crystal: Known as Dubai’s best dance club, the bar boasts a stunning 360-degree panoramic view.. Dressing stylishly and reservation required. It can be a good choice for those who love to dance and disco in a quality environment.. I estimate drinks will cost around AED 250 (or more) per person. It is located on the top two floors of the Raffles Hotel and is open on Thursday, Friday, Sat from 23:00 to 03:00.. You can take a taxi after getting dressed, but just to make it clear which side it is on, the nearest metro station is Dubai Healthcare City.. We can also say that it is the Wafi Mall shopping center.. Here is the website for information and reservations.
