Erasmus Fees, Dormitory, Food and Beverage My Monthly Budget!

Glorious days! Today I am reporting from Erasmus again Because I will talk about “Erasmus fees” for 2022.. I just came back from the market! I have the answers to how much money is spent on Erasmus, how much it goes to food and beverage, etc. I will tell you my Erasmus monthly expenditure example. And I’m in the north of Italy… Brescia near Milan! This is an average priced European city.. For the prices I will give, I will also give the coefficient according to the countries at the end, let’s get started!

Hello everyone from Erasmus Italy 🙂 /Lake Garda, one of Italy’s Secret Paradises

Erasmus Budget

Many articles on Erasmus budget I had read it before I came but they all say half yurum. They explained a little, but the cards are not completely clear Everything is clear and clear in Gorkemliyollar. I will tell you about my Erasmus expenses in Italy.

It is very important to make a good budget in Erasmus. Because the Erasmus grant is given in bulk and if you do not adjust yourself well, you will be left without money in the last months! Euro is almost 10 liras, I think you don’t want to be broke

School Fees

Erasmus tuition fees come to mind first when it comes to Erasmus fees. In a European Union supported project like Erasmus, tuition fees OK Absolutely no fees!

You don’t pay any school from the beginning of the Erasmus application to the end.. Of course, what I’m talking about is for public schools.. If you are studying in a private school, the general procedure is you pay the fee in your regular school, but you do not pay any money where you go.

Dormitory Fee

Now I’m going to the top We closed the budget with 0 euro, continue at the top!

Your biggest expense item in Erasmus will be accommodation fees.. Erasmus dormitory fees are usually much cheaper than private houses.. I have a legendary article on accommodation in Erasmus, I’m telling you about the tactics of finding a dormitory, check it out!

Monthly, the monthly fees in the state dormitories of universities in Europe are 100-300 euros, regardless of the meal. going on band. For example, while in Poland you can find a dormitory for 80-100 euros, in Denmark you may need 300-400 euros.

I pay 200 euros per month for the university’s state dormitory in Italy.. Let the calculations begin

Food & Beverage Expenses

Continue with 200 euros to the budget

Food and beverage The issue of drinking is completely in your hands, a cupping pen.. I’m a very strong eater and watch what I eat and drink.. Fruits, vegetables, salads, milk, cheese, eggs

But I usually cook my meals in the dormitory. In general, a weekly market expenditure of 30-40 euros is more than enough. Europe Market prices in most parts of Turkey are actually 1.5 times more expensive than our country.. I mean, think about it, I’m shopping for 150-160 liras weekly on my own. It’s the equivalent in Turkey.

In other words, I have a monthly eating and drinking cost of around 160 Euros in total.. Let me remind you that water is drunk from the tap in Italy.

I’m Even Cooking Broccoli in the Dormitory at Erasmus

City Bus Metro Card

Continue with 360 euro

Usually, bus and metro transportation card tickets in Europe cost around 30-60 euros per month.. You may not even need these cards in some cities you visit.. For example, I think you can walk to most places in Krakow, Poland.

As for me My dear Brescia Municipality gives free unlimited transportation cards to all Erasmus students throughout their education So I don’t have any expenses for this item!

Also, shared bike stations are very common in Brescia and bikes are free up to 45 minutes. Fantastic!

Phone Sim Card Fee

Still continuing with 360 euro

Phone sim card issue is also important. Because it allows you to access the internet out of nowhere.. Generally, for 10-20 euros per month, you can find a tariff that will suffice you all over Europe.

I use TIM Mobile in Italy, with 40GB of internet and unlimited calls per month 12 per month I pay in euros!

My Social Expenditures

The safe is 372 euros!

I usually eat at the school cafeteria several times a week and 3- I pay 4 euros per meal. In other words, it’s about 30-40 euros a month

We sit outside with my friends 3-4 times a week. Cappuccino is 2-3 euros, maximum, even in the most beautiful places in Italy. If we go to a coffee a few times, a meal once a week, let’s go to a nice pizzeria (10 euros) and have 2 beers on the weekends (you can drink 2 beers for 5 euros). In other words, I do not fall short of social expenses for a total of 100 euros per month.

Another Cheap Way to Travel on Erasmus is Flixbus / This is Brescia Bus Station

My Total Monthly Erasmus Spending

This is what I’m talking about. Frankly, I don’t spend anything other than items

Our safe made 472 euros in total!! Imagine that I receive a grant of 500 euros… So I can live my life quite well with my grant amount. I don’t need an extra resource for my Erasmus expenses!

Yes, maybe I’m a little lucky, but my biggest luck is dormitory.. Because I think it’s a good amount to pay 200 euros for my dorm in Italy.

How Do I Find Money to Travel?

E European Union covers all my expenses If I were in Turkey, wouldn’t I be spending money? none ? Here I try to travel on my own with that money, so I manage somehow.

Also, we put 100 euros a month into the account to spend on sociality.. If you save 2 months and spend 50 euros, it means saving 100 euros So the money you save in Erasmus is also valuable.

Expensive Coefficient by Country

These real values I have given are valid for countries such as Italy, Spain, Portugal and Germany.. If you’re going to a place like Poland, Hungary, you can multiply the numbers by 0.5-0.75 (so we’re dividing, maybe there are non-mathematicians )

If you’re going to countries like the Netherlands, Belgium, you can multiply by 1.25-1.50. For countries like England, Sweden, Norway, you should multiply by 1.5-2. Then you calculate your realistic Erasmus fees.

How Much is the Erasmus Grant?

Erasmus grant varies between 300-500 euros according to various country categories, like my imaginary coefficients I gave above.

<

Erasmus grant is a bit complicated, so if you are wondering, I would say learn every detail from this article Here’s who it is given, when to apply, how to apply, etc…

From Budapest, One of the Most Beautiful Student Cities, / Hungary / You can’t go to Budapest on Erasmus

How Much Money Did You Need Before Going?

The last thing I need to talk about is; I said here that the Erasmus grant was more or less enough for me, but before I received the grant, I must remind you that at least 3-5 thousand lira was spent!

So when calculating the Erasmus fees, 3-5 thousand without going out of the grant. I say keep a lira like extra at least

If we say Erasmus fees and Erasmus budget in this way here I am finishing them. I told you. If you have any questions, I am waiting in the comment section and I answer them all.

Also, do not miss reading my other Erasmus articles, I am sure it will be as useful as this article, you can find the Erasmus conditions here, here you can find out about Erasmus application, have a nice day!
