Cebeci Beach
Cebeci Beach, which is approximately 3-4 km from the center of Kefken, is located in 4 blue beaches of Kocaeli province. one of the flagged beach. The beach is completely sandy and the sea is usually clean.. One of the worst things is that it gets very choppy on windy days.. Although it is a very wide beach, it is not possible to find a place to step in the summer months.. Because it is operated by Kocaeli municipality, so it is budget friendly; ee is also preferred. There is no entrance fee to Cebeci Beach, if you want to rent a sunbed, it is 10 TL and parking is 10 TL.. It has facilities such as shower, toilet and dressing cabin, it is a very organized place.. Kumcagiz Public Beach
Like Cebeci Beach, Kumcagiz Public Beach is operated by Kocaeli municipality.. It is a very sheltered bay exactly between Kefken and Kerpe.. The sea is shallow and waveless. Kapri Bay
It is debatable whether it is good for swimming, you can even be sure that there are much better places to swim in Kefken.. It is a small bay between the rocks, so the biggest highlight of Kapri Bay in our opinion is its view.. There is no business, camping and fires are prohibited.. But as you can imagine, there is a lot of barbecue.. When you search for Kapri Bay on Google maps, you will find a place in the village that is not on the seaside; don’t trust him. Kapri Bay is exactly where we marked it on the map, trust us.
Mussel Bay
A little unknown bay right next to Kapri Bay. It took its name from its beach made of mussel shells.. A secluded place where you can have a good time, the most important reason for being secluded is that the road does not go exactly to the sea.. You have to leave your car behind and walk a bit, so this place is a little quieter since our people don’t like walking very much.
Kovanağzı Bay
A part of Kovanağzı Bay, which you can reach in about 15 minutes by walking from the center of Kefken Military Camp area, while other parts serve as Public Beach, but a small area remains. If you have the opportunity to enter the Military Camp, you can choose. Of course, we couldn’t enter because there were no soldiers in our family, but it looked pretty good from the outside.. Green Bay
If the beach is not a must for you, if you say that you know how to lie on the rocks and sunbathe best, chances are you will like Green Bay.. The view is beautiful; Pink Rocks on one side and Kovanağzı Bay on the other.. Although it is very close to Kerpe, it is one of the most secluded places due to its rocky nature and lack of operation.. However, be careful in the summer months.. Because the road is dirt, we can’t say it is so bad. You can easily get off with a passenger car, but the main thing is to get out.. Because during the busy period, you may have to go back and forth because everyone parks their car in the space they find.

Kefken Island
Kefken Island, which is right across Cebeci Beach, is very close to the shore, about 800 meters.. You can easily reach it in 5-10 minutes by small boats departing from Cebeci beach.. It was one of the two islands suitable for settlement in the Black Sea.. We can say that its history dates back to ancient times with its city walls and water wells from the Genoese, as well as architectural remains from the Roman period.. However, Kefken Island is not open to tourism and it is forbidden to go to the island, you can only go to its small coves by boat.
Pink Rocks
You may have thought, like everyone else, if it would be a pink rock, at least we thought.. However, the name Pink Rocks reflects the truth, it is these rocks that make this place famous.. When we look at history; Those who come here come to extract these stones that they will use as building materials.. Pink rocks extracted from here were used in many buildings in Istanbul, and it is said that these rocks were also used in the construction of Rumeli Fortress and Sultan Ahmet Mosque.. Of course, there is no such thing today, instead of the ships coming to buy stones, you will see; There are families coming for a swim, fishermen who come to spear or angling, brides and grooms who come to take pictures, campers who set up tents, warriors who want to dive or swim in deep water, barbecuers who go under the smoke and young people who come to drink.. Kefken Harbor
Actually, there isn’t much to see and do here, it’s a small harbor.. It is already in the center of Kefken, so you will definitely be on your way.
Kefken Hotels and Pensions
Even though Kefken has all the accommodation alternatives, we would like to stay. unfortunately there is no place. Kefken hotel prices are very high, so the service you get for the money you pay is very low.. There is Kefken Liman Hotel in the center, other hotels are towards Kumcagiz, but there is no place we can recommend and say you can go.. If we look at the Kefken aparthotel or hostel options, the situation is even worse, so don’t stay here.. We don’t like to be vilified in this way; Surely, the operators have their own reasons, such as the short season.. What should we do, we have to warn you too.
Kefken Camping Areas
When you look at the map, you are happy to see many campsites, but when you look at the details, you see that there are no municipalities. They were also the campgrounds of the Military.. There is only Kovanağzı Camping as a private enterprise. Not bad, good place at least compared to hotels and hostels. There is a little bit of barbecue smoke, but where in Kefken is there no barbecue smoke?.
Kefken Restaurants

Reis Fish Restaurant
How could there be so few fishermen in a Black Sea town, we were very surprised.. They are really few in number and most of them are not places to go.. Don’t get me wrong, our expectations are not high, we just want fresh fish to be cooked well, that’s all.. Fortunately, Resi Fish Restaurant was just what we were looking for; a small family run business, they cook their own fish freshly. If it’s crowded, take into account that the service will be slow and the prices are close to Istanbul prices.. If you want to eat fish, unfortunately, you have no other alternative.
Butcher Ümit
Actually, Butcher Ümit is located in Cebeci, which is 3 km from the center of Kefken.. When you can’t find a place to eat in Kefken, you have to head around.. Butcher Ümit has grilled varieties, the meat is good, but it is better not to keep your expectations high.. If the goal is to fill your stomach, it’s okay, but if you go to have a nice meal, you won’t find exactly what you’re looking for.
Kefken or Kerpe?
We didn’t have a hard time deciding. We chose Kerpe directly because there are better accommodation options in Kerpe anyway.. When we left, we saw that we made the right decision, we recommend you the same, stay in Kerpe. The two are very close to each other, you can go to Kefken whenever you want.. Where is Kefken?
To Kandıra district of Kocaeli, famous for its beaches Kefken, which is a small town connected to Turkey, is located between Kerpe and Cebeci.. It is 65 km from Kocaeli city center and 170 km from Istanbul.
How to get to Kefken?
You can take a bus from Izmit. Although there is a place, our recommendation is that you come with your own vehicle.. If you ask why, it is very difficult to walk to the surrounding bays, especially to the quieter areas.. When you approach Izmit on the TEM highway on the way from Istanbul, you will see the Kandıra sign.. After turning this turn and driving about 40 km, you will see Kefken signs..
