Garipçe Village has a mood inside Istanbul but far from Istanbul.. A calm and peaceful breathing point, away from the crowd and chaos of the city. We created a route for ourselves to see where we can go in Istanbul at the weekend and, starting from Uskumruköy, we visited Kilyos, Demirciköy, Rumeli Feneri Castle and Garipçe, respectively.

Because it is a strangely small village, it takes at most half an hour to visit this place.. For this reason, I suggest you create a route for yourself and add the places around it to your travel list.
Where is Garipçe?
Garipçe is a cute fisherman located between Rumeli Feneri and Rumeli Kavağı in the Sarıyer district of Istanbul. dark. Garipçe, which gained quite a reputation after the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge (Third Bridge) was built, is located right across Poyrazköy.
How to Get to Garipçe?
Garipçe is about 10 kilometers from Sarıyer. Signs direct you when you follow the road to Koç University. Those who want to come to Garipçe by public transportation should take the Yeniköy-Hacıosman metro and get off at the last stop, Hacıosman, then go to the exit where the bus stops are and take the 150 number Hacıosman Metro-Rumeli Feneri bus.. When you get off at the Garipçe Merkez stop, you can easily reach the village.
Places to Visit in Garipçe Village
Garipçe, one of the settlements on the Black Sea coast of Istanbul, is built on the rocks. bay. Most of the people living here immigrated from the Black Sea region.. Garipçe has a tiny beach surrounded by fishing boats.. The coast with a view of the Third Bridge is also very inviting for photography lovers.
Garipce Tepesi
If you want to see the strange view from the top, climb up the stairs next to the restaurants on the beach. It is a beautiful viewing point with the village of Garipçe on one side, the Third Bridge on the other, and the wind that cools you.
Garipce Castle
There is the historical Garipce Castle on the side of the Garipce coast. Sultan III in 1774. Garipçe Castle, built during the reign of Mustafa, has a wonderful view at the junction of the Black Sea and Marmara.. But unfortunately it is quite neglected and abandoned to its fate.
Just like Rumeli Feneri Castle, Garipçe Castle is full of garbage and meaningless writings.. Garipçe Castle, which was built by carving the rocks on the coast, is a valuable legacy from the Ottomans, but instead of protecting it, we leave it doomed to decay.

You can either have breakfast or taste fresh fish at the cafes and restaurants lined up on the Garipçe beach.. Garipçe Reis Fish Breakfast, Asmaaltı Breakfast and Fish House, Qarip Restaurant, Garipçe Aydın Breakfast and Fish Restaurant are among the restaurants you can choose here.
At the entrance of Garipçe Village, skilled village women sell handcrafted delicacies such as jam, noodles, tomato paste, cheese, and cornbread.. If you wish, you can buy local foods while you are in Garipçe.. Since we had breakfast in Uskumruköy, we only came here for a photo shoot and sat in the castle for a while and watched the view with the breeze blowing.

When planning a strange trip, remember that there are many places to visit around it. As I mentioned above, we started our tour from Uskumruköy, after seeing Kilyos, Demirciköy, Rumeli Feneri Castle, we stopped by Garipçe.
