• Flight tickets Quite expensive by Philippines standards. In high season, airfare from Manila to El Nido starts from $90 per person, ONE WAY!
• Check-in on standard ticket baggage allowance only 10kg. Even if you travel with cabin luggage, it is very difficult to drop this weight.. If you are traveling with a heavier suitcase, you will either buy an expensive ticket with 20kg baggage allowance, which is equivalent to $120 per person, or you will pay a penalty per kilo for excess baggage.
• From El Nido Airport to the city center 15-20 it takes minutes. You can provide transportation with tricycles that you can find everywhere; The cost is 300-400 pesos ($6 – $8) in total for 2 people and not too much luggage.
• If you want to choose a more comfortable transportation between the airport and the city center, you can talk to the hotel you will be staying at and ask them to arrange a van.

How to Get to El Nido by Minibus?

The most preferred method of travelers who can spend a long time on the road, is to go to El Nido center by minivan from Puerto Princesa.. Since Puerto Princesa has a much more central airport, you can find flight tickets from Cebu or Manila for prices starting from $15.

• The average transportation between Puerto Princesa Airport and El Nido city center is 5 hour; Depending on the traffic situation, this time can be extended up to 8 hours.. Our crazy driver completed it in 4 hours.
• The seating arrangement inside the minivan is a bit cramped.. Since the road is extremely winding, it is a very shaky and tiring journey.
• The van we used stopped once on the way.. There was nothing to eat in the resting place to suit our taste.. Traveling is a must.
• It is possible to find minibuses that reciprocate from 5am every day.
• When you’re going from El Nido to Puerto Princesa, book a reliable one day in advance at least. I recommend you to make a reservation with the company, to calculate the journey as if it will take 8 hours if you are going to catch the plane, and to keep in mind that the minivans may not comply with the departure times.
• You can make your minivan reservation from Boutique & Art Cafe.. It is the most reliable and smooth working place in this regard.. We paid 550 pesos ($11) per person.
