Jiu Zhai valley national park will impress you with its snow-capped mountains, canyons running through the forest, rivers and lakes.. Jiuzhaigou literally means valley of 9 villages. 9 villages are spread over the park located in the valley.. It consists of a total population of 110 Tibetans and Qiang people.. Since agriculture is not allowed, locals make a living by working in the park or nearby hotels.. Located very close to the Xinjiang border, the park is spread over an area of 700 km2.
Jiuzhai was first turned into a park in 1978, but it became a Unesco World Heritage Site in 1992. Listed. There are magnificent waterfalls with different and dense vegetation, deep blue-green clear lakes and 27 species of rare animals that are under protection.. Some of these animals are golden monkey, parakeets, snow leopard, musk deer, giant panda etc.. The park, which hosts 220 kinds of bird species, is one of the most interesting points of the visitors.
The park is in such a large area that those who do not want to visit the park on foot, sightseeing bus. You can visit the park for 90 RMB without getting tired.
Things to consider while traveling
Altitude values vary in many parts of the park. The entrance to the valley is approximately 2,000 meters. Keep an oxygen tube and medicine with you.
Avoid heavy sports while in the park, do not drink alcohol, keep your body warm and eat plenty of vegetables and fruits. Take care.
People with high blood pressure and heart disease should consult a doctor before going to Jizhaigou park to see if it is okay to travel.
Smoking in the park is prohibited.
Climbing trees and plucking flowers is prohibited.
Fishing is prohibited.
Feeding birds and fish is prohibited.

Getting to Jiuzhai Valley National Park
- By bus, Chengdu, Cha Dian Zi from 07:20 to 09:00, approximately RMB 121, with a 10-hour journey,
- By bus from Xin Nan Men, Chengdu, from 06:40 to 08:00 123 RMB with a journey that will take about 10 hours ,
- by bus from Songpan at 07:00 to 13:00 which will take 2 hours k to 32 RMB,
- The National Park can be reached for 70 RMB, with a 7-hour journey from Jiangyou at 07:00 by bus.
From Jiuzhai Valley National Park;
- To Chengdu 06:40 – 07:00 – 07:30 – 08:00
- To Songpan at 07:30 – 12:50 for 30 RMB in 8 hours,
- To Jiangyou at 06:30 – 07:20 at 7 hours for 75 RMB,
- To Mianyang at 06:30 – 07 :20 hours for 90 RMB in 8 hours,
- Huanglong can be reached in 3 hours for 40 RMB at 07:00 – 07:30.
