Kdür Bay – Bodrum

Bodrum’s best times are spring and autumn. I also love to enjoy the calmness and peace by arranging my travels mostly during these periods.. It gives me incredible pleasure to swim in the beaches where there is no one, and to read a book with the sound of the waves.. But, as in every holiday resort, the number of places where we can swim for free in Bodrum is gradually decreasing.

The Kdür Bay in Yalikavak it is home to one of the lesser known public beaches.

The best thing about coming to Bodrum in a quiet period is being able to find a place comfortably on the beaches where you can’t get in because of the crowd. This is Kdür Bay in Yalıkavak.. There is Dodo Beach on one side and Fenty Beach on the other, which is free.. It may not be the first choice for those seeking comfort because there are no sunbeds or umbrellas.. Foldable chairs are ideal for such places.. There are picnic tables under the trees, you can have your breakfast against the sea.. The sea is slightly stony but very clean.. The water temperature is also ideal.. Changing cabin, WC and free parking available. It is best to go early as it gets very crowded in the summer.🌊🏊🏻‍♀️. . . . . . . #seyahatimgeldi #travel #turkey #mugla #bodrum #Önceturkiyediscover #summer #photography #photo #travelingtheworld #stayandwander #worldtrip #gununfotosu #objektifimden #aniyakala #cokgezenlerkulubu #lifestyle #travel #travelblog #beautifuldestinations #wearetravellessplaces #traveletravellessplaces #discoverearth #dametraveler #roamersclub

Kdür Peninsula is actually 1. degree archaeological site. Here are the Panormus Rock Tombs, which are thought to belong to the Lycian period.. Of course, the condition of the rock tombs is unfortunately deplorable.. There is not much left of the historical buildings that need to be protected.. The Kdür Peninsula is also known as the breeding ground for Mediterranean monk seals.

Where is Kdür Public Beach?

Kdür Public Beach In Yalikavak, right across the rock tombs. There are beach clubs on both sides of which the entrance fee is quite high.. (Fenty Beach, Dodo Beach, Granada Beach) But since this is a public beach you can swim in the sea without paying. There is also a free car park where you can park your car.

You can reach Küdür Beach in 10 minutes by car from the center of Yalikavak. click for the location of Kdür Public Beach.

There are no umbrellas and sun loungers at Kdür Public Beach. There are only picnic tables under the trees. Like an early bird.  We always bring our foldable chairs and sun loungers with us when we come here.. And we prepare sandwiches from home and put our tea in the thermos.

It is free to have a barbecue on the beach, which can cause some discomfort.. There is also a small buffet where you can meet your tea, water etc needs.. Toilets and changing rooms are also available.

The sea of Kdür Bay is a mixture of sand and gravel, but shallow. It gets deep after a lot of swimming. Families with children can easily choose. The water temperature is considered ideal, not as cold as Akyarlar. My favorite feature of this place is that it is sheltered, so it does not wave and it is quite clean.

I’ve always been to Kdür Bay in low season, that is, in late September and April-May.. Weekdays are quite calm. But the same situation will probably not be valid for July and August.. After all, this is a public beach.

You may find it difficult to find a place or you may feel uncomfortable due to the crowd.. Therefore, if you want to swim in Kdür Bay, I recommend you to choose spring and autumn months. Don’t go on a holiday or on a Sunday and say “you praised this place” then
