La Rambla Street, also known as Las Ramblas, is one of the busiest and most touristic streets in Barcelona.. The street runs from Square Catalunya to the port of Port Well.. Sections of La Rambla Street
Although the street seems to consist of a single street, it is not. Many sections are connected to this street.. The most well-known of them are ;
1.Rambla de Catalunya : This part of La Rambla is not very popular as it is mostly equipped with luxury restaurants, cafes and shops.. Especially if you are planning to have lunch or dinner on La Rambla, it is better to stay away from this part of the street.
2.Rambla de Canaletes :This is one of the most popular and convenient sections of the street.. In this section, which hosts many cafes, bars, restaurants and markets (Carrefour), you can try Spanish dishes at affordable prices.. Rambla de Canaletes is known as one of the cheapest areas in the center of Barcelona.
3.Rambla de Sant Joseph : The Rambla de Sant Joseph section, also known as Rambla de les Flors , is where you can find the most flower stalls on La Rambla. In addition, this section, which has many animal stalls, is one of the places worth seeing, even though it is a favorite place for families with children. ,There is the Maritim Museum. You can see the Christopher Columbus Monument at the end of the street.

Where is La Rambla Street? How to get there ?
Transportation to the street is usually provided by subways.. 3 metro stops around La Rambla are very close to this popular street.
- One of the closest stops to the street is the ”Drassanes” metro stop.. This metro stop is very close to the Christopher Columbus monument and is located south of the street (Green Line L3).
- The other metro stop closest to the street is ” Liceu”. This stop is right next to the Liceu Theater and is one of the places I can call the middle of the street (Green Line L3).
- The “Catalunya” metro stop on the north side of the street is the stop I can recommend you use.. You can easily reach the street from other stops.. But near this metro stop, you can find buses to the airport, Hop-On, Hop-Off buses and many touristic activities.. While you can only go to other stations with the green line L3, you can reach this station with both the green line L3 and the red line L1.. This metro stop is one of the best places to start your trip on the street.
Places not to be missed on this street; Boqueria Market, Placa Reial, Columbus Monument, Liceu Theatre, Wax and Erotica Museum.
Recommendations
- This is one of the streets with the highest number of tourists. is one. Therefore, this area was the most preferred place of pickpockets and scammers.. According to many locals and tourist offices. Although I have no experience with this, my advice to you is to leave your passport and wallet at your hotel.. Traveling this street with a small amount of money would be a logical option, I think.. You should also stay as far away as possible from very stylishly dressed men or women who come to sell you something.. The majority of those who came to you to sell night club entrance tickets were selling fake tickets.. So whatever they try to sell, it’s better to stay away.
- If you are planning to have your lunch or dinner on this street, you should be very careful.. You can get an evening menu for £40 at a restaurant on a street, or you can find the same menu for £15 at a restaurant on the back street.. Therefore, my advice to you for lunch or dinner is to use Rambla de Canaletes, which is a part of the street.. Many restaurants in this area are very affordable and of high quality.
Note : La Rambla Street, the most touristic areas of Barcelona, Sagrada Familia Church, Casa Mila and Casa Batllo away from many places. So, after visiting these touristic spots, going to the street can be a little tiring for you.. It would be useful to spare a day for the touristic spots in and around La Rambla.
