Luxembourg Travel Notes: It’s Like a Rich Day at Christmas!

Hello everyone I haven’t written travel notes for a long time.. As you know, you mostly say “how shall we go”, so I write guiding articles.. But today I will talk about my trip to Luxembourg, which I went to with great excitement…A delightful travel story that will flow with such a coffee, come with me!

Luxembourg has a long history with me!. When I was going abroad for the first time, I was going to buy a ticket to Luxembourg with THY’s campaign, but at the last moment I found a ticket to Vienna and sold it Then Görkem, who traveled all the countries in Europe from time to time, could not go to Luxembourg alone. But it was time to make up for it…

First Hours of the Day at Luxembourg Airport When I See Lux Air Planes I Understand We’ve Arrived

About Luxembourg

Luxembourg is one of those Benallux countries Lux’ it’s happening. The name is quite ironic It is a “luxury” city, just like its abbreviation!

Luxembourg is not a place where you will go.. A tiny country in Europe with a population of 600,000.. You have to want to go especially like me.. But it is not very difficult to reach, there are also direct flights from Turkey, direct trains from cities such as Paris and Amsterdam.

Where are these places I will tell you soon / Luxembourg

So which way do I go? Yes, since I have been living in Brescia, Italy for a while, I will fly directly from Milan Bergamo to Luxembourg. I bought the ticket for only 10 euros! I have a flight at 6 am

I fly directly to Luxembourg from Milan Bergamo Airport, which has now become my home, with the 06.25 plane.. I slept for 1 hour when I found a warm plane on a cold November day I found myself in Luxembourg just as the day was just getting light.

Streets of Luxembourg General View

Hello to the Richest Country in the World!

<

Luxembourg started to make me feel that luxury air at first sight.. I would like to tell you about my first impression with what I saw, but no buses to the airport of this city are free! It’s the first time I’ve been to more than 55 countries I’ve seen something like this for the first time.

We didn’t call it luxury for nothing Luxembourg is the richest country in the world in terms of per capita income!

The Sign Showing the Buses from the Airport to the City / The Price Part is Outdated Free

Busses 16 and 29 from Luxembourg airport go directly to the city center. This is a small country anyway. After 15-20 minutes, you find yourself in a magical environment.

As the bus actually went like a tour of the city, I saw most of it at the beginning Let’s think of it like a trailer…

Modern Buildings I See on the Way to the City in Luxembourg

A Little bit of France A little bit of Germany

I get off at the central train station in the south of the city. The weather is around 3-5 degrees and I got a little cold with the drowsiness At first glance, the city reminds me of the rich and historical districts of Amsterdam, Cologne, Paris and London.. When it’s cloudy, those historical and magnificent buildings seem even more majestic to me.

You can consider the Luxembourg train station as one of the must-see places. In my opinion, it’s like one of the typical French station examples. , I start walking towards the center on Avenue de la Liberte.

Luxembourg Train Station / A Little Under Construction

By the way, the Street Name is French You can get your work done in any language in Luxembourg, in German, French, English. But think like a native French language.

It is a great pleasure to take a walk in Luxembourg, which makes you feel orderly, clean and rich in every frame.. When I come to the end of the street I mentioned, a sight that will surprise you awaits me.

Morning Empty Streets of Luxembourg in the Morning

The “Valley” the “Canyon” Here is the Luxembourg Nature!

<

Luxembourg was established in a very interesting geography. If you think of the city center as on a hill, there is a valley, a river and a different district accompanying it…

Naturally, there are also bridges…

Here is the Interesting Geography / Across the City Center and Notre Dame Cathedral

Places to Visit in Luxembourg

Adolphe Bridge is the most famous of them, and Passerelle…

I am crossing the Adolphe Bridge towards the centre.. The view on the bridge is simply breathtaking! From here you have the chance to see the entire city skyline.. You can also see the modern structures and castle ruins of Luxembourg strikingly. As I just mentioned, there is a canyon below us! It is also a beautiful park where you can take a walk.

There is Work on the Adolphe Bridge But Walking is Free!

From Modern Buildings to Medieval Squares

And I’m in the city centre; Armes Square

Luxembourg is a mix of a modern capital city and a small historic town. While there are wide streets and modern buildings surrounding the historic centre, after a few minutes you can reach a historic square like Armes.

Morning Hours in Armes Square Christmas Markets Have Been Established, But The Surroundings Are Calm And This Is The Market To The South Of Armes Square You Know 3 The Place With The Ferris Wheel In The Above Photo It Was There To Be A Child Here Don’t expect anything from me Because everything here is flat feet.. Everything I have told is at most 1km away from each other, and most of them are even closer. So to visit Luxembourg, you have to walk every inch of the street!

I don’t know how Armes Square is normally But I am at the end of November Christmas Markets have already been set up because I came. So it’s a fair, where is my mulled wine?

“…Let me have a drink at the famous Grand Cafe of Armes Square…”

Wait, it’s early hours. Let’s have a drink at the famous Grand Cafe of Armes Square It looked great from the outside, but I preferred a coffee at Mc Donalds in the square. Because this is Luxembourg!

The city in general it’s obviously expensive, I don’t want to run out of all my money already, let my luxuries stay tonight…

If we said Mcdonalds, our place is fine   The Streets Between Armes and Place Guillaume II

Place Guillaume II

right next to Armes If you follow the beautiful streets next to it, there is another sister square named Place Guillaume II.. Bhere should be the two main points you must see in Luxembourg.

Guillaume II Square is somewhat more reminiscent of classical medieval squares.. The Town Hall in the square is also worth seeing.. Of course, it’s not just a square right now It’s like a work of art with the Christmas Markets and colorfully decorated trees…

This is also  Place Guillaume II / It was impossible for me to show the Square in General Because the Market was Established

The Square Was Established next to it is the “Palais Grand-Ducal”, that is, the grand ducal palace.. Its name is very splendid but it doesn’t look like that Just walk past it, see it and then go to Notre-Dame Cathedral.

When Notre Dame Cathedral is mentioned, one gets sad, of course, flames and Paris…

The cathedral in Luxembourg is not that famous but still must be visited. Especially the pointed domes of the building are one of the cornerstones of classical Luxembourg city architecture.

The Town Hall I mentioned

The Lower Floor of the City and the Panoramic Elevator

As it is approaching noon, I have a snack and a drink. I’m going down to the bottom floor of that city! That’s the bottom of the canyon.

But in a very interesting way, how?

Here is our Elevator

I admit this is the biggest elevator in Luxembourg. became my favorite touristic activity If you go a little north of the old city, you can find the “Pfaffenthal Lift / Aufzug/ Scenic lift”, the delightful elevator of Luxembourg.

The elevator is the most awesome and free way to watch and feel the city! This is Luxembourg, the elevator didn’t have to be paid

Inside You Can Feel Like In 2200

I won’t tell you, let the photos tell you the most beautiful photos come out of here for me to say.

The elevator takes me 5-10 It takes you down to the lower floor of the city in seconds.. I’m talking about a serious level difference, now I’ve come to the cute town by the Alzette River!

Luxembourg Under My Feet

I say the town because the bottom floor of the city is like another place. It has very calm, unique village-like houses and beautiful towers.. The name of the Vauban Towers is at the two ends of an old bridge and has a magnificent view with the bridge, of course, go for a free tour

And I Landed In The Town Below The City! The Town Downtown! The one on the right of the Vauban Towers The Other Is Across the River Alzette River

Luxembourg with Autonomous Vehicles

On the lower floor of the city Something that looks like the new minibuses of Istanbul is traveling! And by itself

There is also an autonomous tourist tour bus in Luxembourg.. Its route is clear, it has no driver, it travels on its own. You say look at the money, it’s so much that it made me rich for one day, because everything is free!

It Travels By Itself Here is the Autonomous Electric Tourist Shuttle Vehicle

Don’t go up again time! Now I’m climbing up from the eastern branch of the city center from the road-bridge mixture called “Montée de Clausen”, that is, Clausen Climb.. But the view and historical observation points are great as you leave here. This street is one of the places you should not miss in Luxembourg.

The View from Montée de Clausen

Casemates du Bock and Parts of the historical castle called Dent Creuse are also on this road, and everything is free and free to enter, visit, and exit.

At this point, we come across a Turkish couple living in Germany for a little chat, and then they took a nice photo of me.. According to what they told Luxembourg is a popular day trip destination especially for those who live close to Germany.

This Is Me As if It Was a Good Photograph… I Could Have Taken It By Myself / Those Lookout Points Look Better Here Just On My Left Here in Ankara! 2342 Kilometers

Christmas Market and Hot Wine

As the evening approaches, I go to Guillaume II and Armes squares again; My view is incredible!

The word fair atmosphere I set up at noon is nothing compared to the current image.. Local music, handcrafted products, food…

Here are the Cozy Christmas Markets! Another Christmas Market

From this moment on, I am almost a child and enjoying the Christmas Markets in Luxembourg.

Now come mulled wine!

I Grabbed My Hot Wine Take Your Food and Drink Sit By The Warm Wood Fire Even Its View Is Enough Warm Christmas Environment In This Cold Weather

I have a wonderful Luxembourg cup with hot wine. A glass of 2 euro wine in total is also 3. I have the chance to try local flavors with it, I buy something according to my mind

I didn’t take into account the Christmas atmosphere when I came to Luxembourg.. But in this relatively cold continental European capital, the Christmas celebrations are inexplicable…

It’s Possible to Buy Local Handcrafted Things at the Christmas Market

Now it’s just to continue enjoying the atmosphere of Luxembourg. In this way, my trip to Luxembourg will come to an end. You won’t believe it in the evening, but I will fly to Seville So I will continue with the Latin air.. Those who are curious about my route planning can follow me on instagram .

Also, I’m open to any of your questions in the comment section below, and I answer them instantly.
