Philippines Journey

The long-awaited Saturday, December 19th, has finally arrived. We are very excited to go to Philippines. This time, we will operate our Far East flight for the first time with Asiana Airlines via Seoul.. Since Asiana Airlines is also a Star alliance member, there is no dissatisfaction

In fact, since we will have a waiting time of 12 hours in Seoul, South Korea, you can both visit the city and shop during this time. We thought we could do it.

As a result of the damage caused by a bird strike on the Asiana Airlines flight, which was supposed to take off on 19.12.2015 at 16:20, from Korea to Turkey, We, the passengers, were informed that a part on the plane had to be changed about 1 hour before the flight took off.

We were stressed as it was not clear whether the part was changed or not.. Because after a 9-hour flight from Istanbul to Seoul, waiting for 12 hours here, it will take a long time to reach our first accommodation in the Philippines by taking a second 4-hour flight to Cebu and then taking a 3-hour bus ride from there.. We can’t help but get upset when we get such troubling news before this trip.

Luckily, the problem was resolved very soon and all passengers returned to another Star Alliance at 18:20. member aircraft company.

As a result of all these setbacks, our 12-hour waiting time in Seoul was reduced to 10 hours.

We made a reservation for a free city tour since our transfer would be long.. However, the most suitable tour according to our arrival time was the 3.5-hour tour.. Now we don’t know whether we should join this tour or visit the city ourselves.

We are at Seoul Incheon airport…..

As we arrived in Incheon on December 20 at 11:30 am, we found the Mode Travel counter to join the free city tour, found our name from the list and waited for the time when the tour would start, since we had a reservation online.. We preferred the longer one because they offered to take you on a 5-hour tour instead of 3.5 hours.. We visited Myeongdong shopping district and Namsangol Hanok town during the tour, which will last from 13:00 to 18:00. We said that we can’t do without an iPhone from the app store that we come across while we are in the city.. Since 2.704 TL is not just one, we decided to have two  By the way, when we got the 7% tax of this amount back from the airport, we got 2,511 TL out of pocket.

Now for our next flight. our time has come. We landed at Cebu Mactan Airport after 4 hours, but both of us are not comfortable at all.. We don’t let each other down either. Come see that the plane took off after 13 hours.. As a result, the suitcases that could not reach our transfer. Airport officials took very good care of. They immediately filled the missing form and took us to the office and checked where the luggage was on the system.. Luckily the suitcases seem to be on their way from Istanbul to seoul. But it will take 2 days to reach us.

It’s 2am and we’re on our way from Cebu to Moalboal with empty hands…..
