Our trip takes about an hour from Brussels Central Train station to Bruges After /strong> we start from Stationsplein, that is, from the train station. Our first job, as usual, is to get a city map from the Tourism Office located inside the train station.

1. Koning Albertpark

2. Concertgebouw

3. Sint-Salvatorskathedraal
A little ahead, above the buildings, St.. We see the Saviors Cathedral. 10. This cathedral, which was built in the 16th century and is the oldest church in Bruges, fell victim to a fire in the 13th and 14th century.. The West Tower, which was built later, was 99 meters high.. There are medieval tombs and paintings from the 14th-18th centuries in the church.. Also in the treasury room of the cathedral are the works of famous Dutch painters.

After visiting the cathedral, we go to Steenstraat Street. Admiring the architecture and texture of the old buildings, we proceed towards our next stop, Markt Square.. By the way, there are stores of various clothing and chocolate brands on this street.. If you wish, you can pause to buy small souvenirs or taste some Belgian chocolate.
4. Markt (Market Square)
Almost all European cities have squares, canals. The name of the square in Bruges is Markt Square.. It started to be used as a market place in 958.
Afterwards, every Wednesday, fresh fruit, vegetables, flowers, meat and cheese as well as hot and cold snacks were showcased on the market stalls.

6. The Belfry Tower
The Belfry Clock and Bell Tower was home to the treasury and government archives in the past, and was also used as a watchtower to detect fires.

The 83 meter tall tower has 47 bells. If you want to see the city from above, you can enjoy the magnificent view of Bruges after paying the entrance fee and climbing 366 stairs.

7. Burg Square
After visiting the Berfy Tower, we go to Burg Square via Breidelstraat Street.. By the way, I am stating the names of streets and avenues, but I am sure most of you will prefer to wander around the streets without following a route like us. Don’t be afraid to get lost. You somehow manage to get anywhere you want in this city.

Let’s come to Burg Square again… The buildings in Burg Square fascinate us with their architecture.. You can see the harmony of Gothic, Renaissance and Neo-Classical style architecture in the buildings here.. The most magnificent building is the City Hall (City Hall) of this square.
8. Quay of the Rosary
Time to leave Burg Square. We cross the street Blinde-Ezelstr, over the bridge, greeting those on the canal. He wanders the canal, eager to take a photo.

We are getting tired now and we say let’s rest a bit and enjoy nature. We go to Koningin Astrid Park, very close to Rozenhoodkai.

10. Groeninge Museum
The Groeninge Museum presents various artifacts on Belgian art history. Flemish artifacts are in the majority in the museum, but 18. and 19. The neoclassical works of the 20th century, Flemish Expressionism and masterpieces of post-war modern art are also featured.

12. Church of our Lady (Église Notre-Dame)
After completing our museum tour, our next stop is Church of Our Lady. The church dominates the city skyline with its 122-meter brick bell tower. This work is a testament to how high the art of stone building was in Bruges in the Middle Ages.
