Where are the places to visit in El Nido? Where to go in El Nido? There are so many beautiful places here.. You will witness magnificent views both on the mainland where El Nido is located and in the cities and islands around it.. I will try to roughly explain the routes one by one. There are already 4 different island tours fixed.
Places to Visit in El Nido
We bought packages A and C for 1000 pesos each. If you wish, you can hire a private boat (6000 pesos) and choose different islands from different packages and set a route accordingly.
If you wish, you can go out of the routes and travel to different islands.. Finally, before describing the places to visit one by one, you can watch the clip, which is a summary of what you will see.
1. El Nido City Center
We reach the town in the evening and we wander around Sirena street in the center of town. We are looking for an agency to buy our tickets for the tours we plan to attend the next day. : Places to visit in El Nido
Actually, everyone is helpful, but I still recommend you not to buy tickets without talking and bargaining.. Tour prices vary around 1000 pesos. We also buy our 2-day tour tickets and a car ticket to Puerto Princesa, which will be our last stop on the island. .
2. Tour C
We get up at 8 am to do Tour C on the first day. There is a bit of tiredness as we are having fun on the beach like children until 2 am. But the excitement of the tour we will do during the day is already enveloping us.
We get on our boat at 9 in the morning and our journey to the magnificent islands around El Nido begins with about 10 people.. What do I mean by amazing? I have attached the video below…
Also, I tried to roughly show the scope of the islands you will visit below. You don’t get too attached to the names after a while anyway. Enjoying the moment is the best.
So you just buy the tour and our Filipino brothers take care of the rest in a very helpful and friendly manner.. The Tour C route is as follows; Helicopter Island.Hidden Beach,Star Beach,Secret Beach and Matinloc Shrine
We arrive at our first stop, Hidden Beach, after about 30 minutes. I wonder where to look along the way. The captain says we have arrived and we have to walk inside. You can’t see the beach from the outside.
But after you walk in, a wonderful beach with white sands welcomes you. The limestone cliffs that reign everywhere in this region are magnificent. landscapes cause us to see.
After spending about 1 hour swimming here, we are going to our next stop, Star Beach.. We stop for a while at Star Beach. Because first we dive into the reefs for 1 hour in the sea, which I can’t describe as what color, and then we go to the beach to have the best lunch I’ve ever had in a tour in my life.
We are enjoying the view and enjoying the magnificent food, accompanied by shrimps, meat, chicken, mangoes and other foods you do not know the name of, at the table set under a coconut tree.
After a great lunch and amazing reef dives, our next stop is Secret Beach.Hani there are mountains made of karst limestones that I mentioned from the very beginning, here you can pass through them and pass to secret, breathtaking, fascinating and magnificent lagoons.
One of them is secret beach. The reason is the place that looks like an ordinary mountain from the outside, but you enter from a small part of the mountain and witness a magnificent view inside.
At first we float like nothing. But after you pass through the tiny hole and see this view, believe me, I wish someone had immortalized our first moment of amazement by taking a photo, so you could understand what kind of place it was from the surprise on our faces.
After spending 1 hour in Secret Beach and getting lost in the interesting texture created by the limestones, our next stop is ‘Matinloc Shrine’. We’re moving on to. an abandoned temple. You can visit the temple and then go to the top of the rocks. Once you get to the top, you will understand what I mean.
We are going to our last stop, Helicopter Island, which is named Helicopter Island because the cliffs formed by the limestones on the island look like helicopters when viewed from the top, and has a wonderful beach.
Here we both snorkel for about 1 hour and walk along the beach and enjoy the island.
We return to El Nido at 4 o’clock in the evening, accompanied by the views of the unique, quiet, uninhabited islands we saw along the way.. As soon as we arrive in El Nido, we rent a motor immediately. Motors are quite cheap.. You can give your passport and enjoy the island by motorbike for about 5 hours for 300 pesos.
You can even find it much cheaper if you rent it all day long. No one asks for a driver’s license. The police are quite scarce. First we head towards the south side of the island.. We pass by wonderful villages and greet passers-by.
I keep muttering to myself. How good to breathe, by locking ourselves in ridiculous offices, confining ourselves behind windows, consuming our youth, Do we really need to drown in the career bullshit that we are forced into under the name of social status? Even knowing that the world is this beautiful.
First, after a little walk on Marimegmeg beach, we head back to Coron Beach to get on our bikes and photograph the sunset from the best angle.
We sit in a restaurant on the beach and enjoy this moment that I’ve been dreaming of for a very long time. For me, who hates the winter months, it was a short time to relax and smile.
3. Tour A
The next day, we leave El Nido at 9 am for the Tour A program we bought from the same tour company.. This time, our route is Seven Commandos Island, Miniloc Island, Secret Lagoon, Big Lagoon, and finally Small Lagoon. Again, I have added the maps covering the routes of the tours below to help you guess before you go.
Our first stop is Seven Commandos Island. As soon as we land, we pay 100 pesos for the coconut that is sold on the beach. we start the day fresh. There were many other fruits, but I don’t remember the names of most of them.. After swimming on the beach, we move to our next stop, Miniloc Island.
We both have lunch on Miniloc Island and dive into the deep blue waters with our snorkels at the foot of the slopes shaped by the magnificent limestones.. It is so beautiful, so fascinating that sometimes you just can’t get away from it.. As it attracts you, you discover the meaning of life, the peace, the silence, yourself.
Our lunch is amazing as always. After the meal, we move on to our next stop, the Secret Lagoon.. Here, we first pass through a small hole formed by the limestones and pass to the breathtaking lagoon.. Then we go to the beach side of the island and rest for an hour.
Inspired by the book of Alex Granland, the author of the book “The Beach” (the original book of the movie starring Leonardo Di Caprio), especially the Big Lagoon, our next stop. Our guide tells that he wrote inspired by. We proceed slowly with our boat in the middle of the huge lagoon, which is known as the Big Lagoon and is widely used in the promotion of the country.
This is a very impressive place. It is even more beautiful than in the photos. Under the clear water. You can see the magnificent reefs and fish very clearly. However, the boats do not stop here.. You just take pictures.
Now we’re going to our last stop, Small Lagoon. Don’t think it’s Small as you hear it’s name.. Pretty big lagoon. If you wish, you can rent a canoe and tour the inside of the lagoon.
The cost of canoe is 100 pesos per person. Before visiting the inside of the lagoon, you will be entering the enormous lagoon by passing through a small hole with your canoe. you can go all the way to the end and discover its hidden corners.
Again, at 4 in the afternoon, we continue on the road to return to El Nido. On the way back, one thought takes me. I like these islands so much that I promise myself to come back next year. I won’t forget.
As soon as we land, we get our bags from the hotel and the El Nido adventure is engraved in our minds with magnificent memories and views. We arrange a tricycle and reach the bus station after 10 minutes. We are moving to our next stop, Puerto Princesa, which is known as the capital of the island.. Before we move, we shoot a video in the city center for the last time.. I have added the video below…
Our unforgettable 3-day El Nido trip allowed us to see such beautiful places.. After resting in El Nido, our next stop is Puerto Princesa, the heart of Palawan island.
