Where is Trinidad ? Where are the places to visit in Trinidad ? While Cuba is famous for Havana, it also has great cities like Trinidad. The city of Trinidad was founded in 1514 and was included in the list of Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 1988.. This is the Cuban city that attracted me the most.. (Special Note: One of the things that stayed in my heart was the “Iznaga Tower Sugar Cane Valley Tour” by Steam Train, which I couldn’t go because there was a problem on the train route in Trinidad.. If you go to Trinidad, I would say take a nostalgic tour with these few remaining steam trains.) The places you can go and visit in Trinidad are;
1. Calle Francisco Javier Zerquera (Rosario)
This is Trinidad’s busiest street. For your souvenir shopping, you can evaluate the street bazaar that you will see in the side street at the end of this street, which is open during the day. Dance nights are held in the evenings and food is served until 20:00).
For a drink, you can easily have your drinks at Cafe Fortuna (It has a really different design), Casa de la Musica or the square at the end of the road.. These places are also ideal for accommodation.. Accommodation is available for $10 per night.. Click HERE to review individual facilities.
2. Plaza Mayor
As the name suggests, this is Trinidad’s main square.. Many museums in Trinidad, together with the Holy Trinity church, are located near this square.
<
Museo Nacional de la Lucha Contra Bandidos is a museum. In the museum, information and documents related to the regional revolution are exhibited, except for the boat and truck used in the revolution.. You can also see and photograph Trinidad by climbing the tower where the bells are located in this structure, which is integrated with the San Francisco de Asis monastery.. (Entry 1 Cuc)
3. Cigar Factory
Here you can see how cigars are made, and if you wish, you can buy cigars from the employees there.. Employees are entitled to one cigar a day, and they do not smoke and sell the cigars to generate income for themselves.
<
4. Museo Romantico
When you hear its name, you may think of a place with the theme of romance and love.. But that’s not the case. A different museum with 1800’s furniture, horse carriages, paintings, sculptures and more.
As in the place I described before, there is a tower where you can see the whole city.. (Entry 2 Cuc)
5. Playa Ancon
12 km from the center of Trinidad. Ancon Beach, which is far away, is the ideal place to swim.. To get here, you can choose a taxi (7 cuc one way) or choose the bus option 4 times a day.. (2 cuc in duplex).
There are 3 or 4 hotels along Ancon beach. and you can shop from the kiosks of these hotels.. If you want to use a sunbed, you have to pay extra.
6. Cayo Blanco de Casilda
You can reach this island in the middle of the Caribbean Sea after a 45-minute catamaran cruise with the tour you can buy from the center of Trinidad.. The menu with unlimited drinks and buffet lunch was really good.
On the island The most interesting thing is the fossils of tulle and rock coral that settled on the island with the waves.. You can snorkel and sunbathe in the clear waters of the Caribbean Sea on the island where iguanas and marine arthropods roam.. (Price 50 Cuc per person)
7. Casa de la Musica
This is an open-air music hall with live music every day from morning to night.. You can listen to Cuban music while sipping your drinks, or you can dance to these beautiful music.. (Only after 20:00 pm entry fee is 1 Cuc)
8. Discoteca Cueva de Ayala
Have you ever seen a cave disco? If you haven’t seen it and you’ve traveled all the way to Trinidad, you can enter and start having fun by giving 5 Cuc.. (A drink is included in the entrance fee.)
The disco with different cultural shows is really different.. Especially when you think that you are inside a cave, this place becomes more interesting.

9. Horse tour
I recommend you to do this tour. I bought it for 15 Cuc, but as I understood later, you can reduce this price up to 8 Cuc per person by negotiating one-on-one with the horse owners (especially if you are crowded).
Your journey begins on horseback from the back streets of Trinidad and continues with a stop at a sugarcane farm.. After drinking your sugar cane juice and resting, you follow the valley and go to the forest road.
For detailed articles, you can refer to my Cuba Travel Guide articles.
Leave the horses here and take a 10-minute path. After the walk, you reach the Hoyo del Pilon waterfall.. If you wish, you can swim in the cold waters of the pool created by the waterfall or you can consume the drinks you buy from Cubans selling there.. (Do not ignore the intensity of the waterfall according to the season.. You can easily plan your Cuba trip by reading my other articles above.
