Rumeli Fortress, located in the narrowest part of the Bosphorus, is one of the most important places to see in Istanbul with its very high towers and the Anatolian Side and Bosphorus View with its towers.. Located in Sarıyer, one of the most touristic districts of Istanbul, this rare monument is located right across Anadolu Hisarı.. While entering the fort, you are being searched so that no garbage is left in the vicinity.. In addition, you cannot enter the fort with food or drinks.
The bastions of the fort are made quite high and the stairs are extremely steep, and it is a bit difficult for middle-aged visitors to climb these stairs.. The fact that there are no signage boards or signs in the fort also causes you to waste your energy in vain.
I can say that it is a bit difficult to visit the fort in general.. First of all, these high stairs are intimidating.. Besides, since many places are closed to visitors, you go and come here and there empty places.

These museums where Ottoman artifacts are exhibited are worth seeing.. There are also food stores, arsenal, baths and places of worship inside the city walls.
The Zağanos Pasha tower in the fort was built with eight floors, and the Halil and Saruca Pasha towers with 9 floors.
