2016 was a difficult year for me due to moving to Germany alone and with relatively few travels. Now that I’ve gotten used to my new arrangement, it’s time to take a sane vacation.. Since Munich is very, very cold, my first criterion when choosing my travel route was ‘hot places’. When I was thinking of Asia or South America, I decided to go to Asia (again).. My new destinations will be Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia.
I have planned how long I will stay in which city of which country and how much transportation and accommodation will/will cost in this article.. Since I bought it from different places, I had to use all three of the TL, Dollar and Euro currencies, depending on the rate offered by the company; First, I will write all of them at the rate I bought and then I will convert them to TL according to the current current rate to give a general idea and I will calculate the total holiday price for two people.. I hope my article will provide information on topics such as where to honeymoon in winter, Singapore – Bali tour prices, Malaysia holiday islands.
The starting point of the trip will be Istanbul, so I fly from Munich to Istanbul first. One day later, on February 6, I have a connecting flight from Istanbul to Singapore with Qatar Airways via Doha.. It takes 4 hours 15 minutes from Istanbul to Doha and 7 hours 35 minutes from Doha to Singapore.. With a waiting time of 3 hours and 20 minutes, it will be a long journey of 15 hours and 10 minutes. I thought I’d stay 3 days at least I’m going to do it. And surprise, I will stay here overnight at Marina Bay Sands, the ship-shaped hotel that we can call the symbol of Singapore! I looked at the pictures of that famous infinity pool so much and I was so envious that I said I must stay one day, it’s finally happening.. I would like to stay during the trip, but since I don’t have such a budget and the aim is just to be there and have that experience, I move to an average 3-star hotel for the next two nights.. Since Singapore is a very developed place, it is quite expensive, even at normal hotel prices, we unfortunately see this.

So what do I do for two days after I spend the first day hanging out at the Marina Bay Sands hotel? My first goal was to go to Sentosa Island, last time I went, it was like a nightmare since it was both the weekend and the most crowded period of the city, the Chinese New Year, so I came back without doing anything (see my post on Singapore Attractions). I plan to have fun all day long, especially at Universal Studios and the wax museum Madame Tussauds on Sentosa Island.. We can say that there is no third day anyway, there is an early flight in the morning.
I have a Singapore-Bali flight with JetStar Airlines on February 10, the journey takes 2 hours and 50 minutes.. Indonesia will be my first new country this holiday; I planned to go to Bali so many times that I couldn’t do it for some reason in all of them, I’m very happy that I will finally succeed.. I will spend two nights in Seminyak, Bali’s sea-sand area, then I have four nights in Ubud, the main exotic destination.. I will stay in a 3-star guesthouse in Seminyak and without a star for the first three nights in Ubud, the prices are very reasonable anyway. It seems that we will pay the main money here, as in Sri Lanka, to the entrances of touristic places and to the driver who will be with us all day, since public transport facilities are very poor.

Singapore – Bali flight: (91 * 2) = 182 USD
Flights Bali – Kuala Lumpur, Kuala Lumpur – Langkawi, Penang – Kuala Lumpur: (98 * 2) = 196 EUR
Langkawi – Penang ferry: (16 * 2) = 32 USD
Singapore 3 nights double accommodation (3 star hotel): 208 EUR
Bali Seminyak 2 nights double accommodation (3 star hotel): 51 EUR
Bali Ubud 4 nights double accommodation (guest house – hostel): 48 EUR
Kuala Lumpur 3 nights double occupancy First stay (2 star hotel): 36 EUR
Langkawi 2 nights double accommodation (guest house – hostel): 55 EUR
Penang 1 night double accommodation (guest house – hostel): 21 EUR
Total 4002 TL + 214 USD + 615 EUR. It is difficult to calculate in TL because the exchange rates are very variable, but I will not bring the work here and leave it halfway saying ‘you can do the collection now’ If we trade with the current exchange rates, 1 USD = 3.85 TL and 1 EUR = 4.12 TL, it costs 7360 TL in total. .

Let’s talk about luggage, I haven’t added a suitcase for now because I’m thinking of going with a backpack.. Qatar Airways flights already include baggage, and for Air Asia, adding 20kg of baggage to each flight costs around 21 euros.. Adding luggage for 2 people for 3 flights costs 123 Euros, I have to fit in 7 kg of cabin luggage Air Asia cabin luggage dimensions 56 * 36 * 23 cm plus one handbag is allowed. JetStar, on the other hand, is more merciful with 20 kg being 19 Euros and offering an intermediate option of 15 kg, but more ruthless in terms of giving a ‘total’ 7 kg with a handbag in the cabin baggage.. Cabin baggage dimensions are the same as Air Asia. In other words, we can say that adding luggage to such a holiday will cost two people an extra 160 Euros in total.. It goes without saying that the fares at the airport are higher, if you have luggage, you must add it online (general rule). If you have a ‘can I fit in’ situation like me, practice preparing your bag early and see if you can fit, you will take the necessary action accordingly.. The subject of ‘I wonder if I exceed the allowed one, will they say something’ is dangerous; either they won’t say and you won’t pay at all, or they will say and you will pay at the airport tariff.

Now let me tell you how much I will pay together with the luxury hotels where I stay for one night for experience purposes, assuming that the price of my Munich – Istanbul flights will not interest anyone. I don’t include it Again, two people, the only difference from the above is that luxury hotels will be added for 3 nights and these 3 nights will be subtracted from the prices of the normal hotels I used for the average account above.
Singapore’ Those who know are most curious about the price of the Marina Bay Sands hotel, so the lowest price room I’ve found is 401 Euros per night.. I’d appreciate it if you wouldn’t engage in conversations like ‘I’ll take another vacation for that money’.. 3 star hotel in Ubud 59 Euro, there are even more expensive hotels than Marina Bay Sands, but I decided on a hotel like this because I care about the pool (and I can’t afford another terribly expensive hotel).. I also searched for the most famous hotel, for those who are curious, its name is Hanging Gardens of Bali and its prices are slightly higher than Marina Bay Sands (at least for the date I was looking at).. It looks great especially for honeymooners who can be flexible on the budget, here you go.
The 5-star hotel in Kuala Lumpur costs 74 Euros, after reviewing the previous two hotels and saying, ‘I would love to but that’s it. Don’t miss this hotel if you’re upset that ‘I can’t pay’, I’m sure it would be 6 – 7 times the price elsewhere The infinity pool with the view of Petronas Towers looks great, here.
