Then one day we found a place called Sülüklü Göl on the map! We had never heard of his name before, so we got a little curious, and finally we couldn’t stand it and set off on a Saturday.. The calm nature of the lake was the most motivating factor for us to come here, and frankly, our expectation was more than met.
While the longing for the Black Sea is overwhelming us now, thanks to our day trip to Lake Sülüklü, we can see the Black Sea. We caught it from the west. We didn’t understand how the time passed when we said a little picnic, a little walk.. We had a view of huge trees, we never thought that we would be so happy that the phones didn’t work.. WHERE IS SÜLÜKLÜ LAKE
Sülüklü Lake is located within the borders of Tavşansuyu village of Mudurnu district of Bolu. The distance of the lake to Mudurnu district center is 50 km.. Spreading over an area of 6 hectares, Sülüklü Lake is located in a magical nature park.
INFORMATION ABOUT SULÜL LAKE
Sülülük Göl, a landslide lake formed as a result of tectonic movements 300 years ago. The ground collapsed in with the landslide left the trees in this area under water.. In fact, the tree trunks remaining in the lake can still be seen.
Sülüklü Lake takes its name from the leeches that used to live in the lake; However, due to the fish released into the lake over time, the leeches living in the lake became extinct.. Today, Sülüklü Lake is a protected nature park with its abundant green landscape, hiking areas and camping opportunities.
Comparing to the surrounding parks, Sülüklü Göl Nature Park is more difficult to reach, and it has preserved its peaceful environment.. Since the park is far from the center and the road is stony, its nature is still untouched.. There are no phones in Sülüklü Göl, so it is one of the best places you can go to relax.. At the same time, there are suitable facilities and areas for those who are interested in trekking and those who like to camp.
HOW MUCH IS THE ENTRANCE FEE TO SULÜKLU LAKE
Sülülük Lake, Milli A nature park affiliated to the General Directorate of Parks. Entrance 12 TL per vehicle between 07:00 – 19:00. It is closed to daily visitors from 19:00 onwards, only campers can stay.
WALK IN SULUL LAKE
Sülülük Göl is a nature park that is frequently preferred for trekking.. The area around the lake doesn’t seem very big at first glance, you can walk around it in 15-20 minutes.. If trekking is your goal, then you can take a longer stroll in the park area around the lake and combine your tour with the stony path leading to the lake area.. The length of the stony road is approximately 10 km, and this is the walking area preferred by trekkers in general.. There are two other small lakes near the lake that you can see; but we didn’t go.
CAMPING AT SÜLÜKLÜ LAKE
Sülüklü Lake has a more pristine environment compared to Bolu’s surrounding parks. Although it is heavily preferred by excursionists in the spring and summer months, it is extremely calm compared to Yedigöller, especially in the late autumn and winter seasons.. Of course, one of the reasons for this calmness is the lack of accommodation options around it.. There are no hotels around Sülüklü Göl; camping is the only way to stay.
Those who want to camp in Sülüklü Göl, can bring their own tent and set it up wherever they want in the national park.. Interesting but there is no charge to set up a tent. In the near future, the park management will open the large igloo-style tents inside for accommodation.. A price list is currently awaited from the National Parks Directorate.
There is a small kiosk and toilet in Sülüklü Göl Nature Park.. We should not expect much performance from the buffet in terms of eating and drinking; If possible, bring your everything.. Not very rich in terms of brands and options. So you may not find everything you want here.. In addition, there is no electricity source in the park where you can charge your phone or use a socket, nor do phones.
It is forbidden to light the campfire except for the barrels in the park.. There are many garbage containers and buckets in the surrounding area.. Attention, this is a public service ad: Please don’t leave our trash lying around, let’s not throw it on the ground!

PICNIC AT SÜLÜKLÜ LAKE
Our Lake Sülüklü plan is short around was to go for a walk and spend 5-6 hours in picnic mode and then return to Istanbul. There are 10-15 ready-made tables and barrels to light a fire by the lake.. In addition, for those who want to light a barbecue, they have created mechanisms in areas where ground fire is prohibited.. Considering that it is a nature park that is not as popular as Yedigöller, it is a very organized area.
You can get your food and drink from the buffet in the nature park, but as we mentioned above, all hopes are lost. should not link here. It is absolutely necessary to come prepared from home for the picnic.. There are no big markets or restaurants in the vicinity.
HOW TO GET TO SÜLÜKLÜ LAKE: ACCESSING SULÜKLU LAKE
Sülülük Lake, Istanbul 200 located kilometers away. To go to Sülüklü Göl, the first thing to do is to leave Istanbul as if you were going to Ankara and follow the Adapazarı Mudurnu road via the E80.. You will first arrive in Akyazı by following the route of Gebze, Kocaeli Körfez and Sapanya Lake.. After Akyazı, proceed towards Dokurcun Village and follow the signs for Sülüklü Göl. When you come to Tavşansuyu village by following the signs, this road will take you to the nature park where the lake is located.
Most of the road is asphalt; However, after entering the borders of Sülüklü Göl Nature Park, it is a stony dirt road for about 10 km.. If you have a high vehicle, you will go more comfortably, there is a warning sign for low vehicles and entry is not recommended.. Based on our experience, it is not a suitable road for low vehicles.
