This place has become famous over the years as the Alkatraz of Anatolia.. It used to be a shipyard.. When the shipyard is closed after the Crimean War, it remains empty for 20 years.. It is then converted into a prison.. It is very difficult to escape from this prison, which is surrounded by the sea and walls on 3 sides.. So far, 2 people have tried to escape from the sewer.. Historical Sinop Prison Working Hours and Fees
Open to visitors between 8:00 and 17:00 but from 16:40 then they don’t accept visitors. Visiting fee is 5 TL, free if you have a Museum Card.
