Turkey’s Most Beautiful Campgrounds and Camping Routes

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CAMPING PLACES AND CAMPING ROUTES IN TURKEY

As you know, a completely different travel culture awaits everyone for the summer of 2020 with Corona! Less contact, less intimacy, but more intertwined with nature awaits us, at least it seems. And as a result, it looks like we’re going to have more camping, more Airbnb, less hotel vacations this year.. To tell the truth, not much will change for us as we have been doing camping and home stay-intensive trips in Germany for years.. Then, Turkey’s most beautiful campsites and camping routes

We sat down and wrote Turkey’s most beautiful campsites! Where are the best campgrounds, camping accommodation fees, tent camping, caravan camping and suitable campsites we wrote them all. If you’ve got your belts on, here we go!

Turkey’s most beautiful camping places and camping routes

1-) Kaz Mountains – Edremit

The first place that comes to mind when we say camping!

Camping areas in Kaz Mountains are divided into two as Kaz Mountains National Park and Special Camping Areas.

Entering Kaz Mountains National Park without a guide, setting up a camping tent outside the areas indicated by them and setting up a fire it is forbidden to burn. So you have to be extra careful.. Therefore, we suggest you to consider ‘Hızır Camp’, one of the most famous camping places of Kaz Mountains, instead of staying in the National Park.

Hızır Camp is located in Mehmetalan Village of Edremit, A park area established right next to Zeytinli Stream. Especially its food is highly praised.

If you don’t want to stay in a tent, you can stay in the bungalows attached to the facility.. Prices are a bit expensive compared to most campsites, but most of our friends who went said it was worth considering the food and the environment.. Of course, you must make a reservation in advance.. You can get the number from the website and call..

2-) Akyaka Forest Camp – Muğla

As a couple from semi-Bodrum, we would not have to include Akyaka Forest Camp on this list!

First, let’s count the good sides; You can swim in Albay Bay right next to it.. very clean beach. However, it may not be very suitable for children as it is descended from a steep path.. Its view, laundry facilities and proximity to the center of Akyaka are other advantages..

The downsides are; It is quite noisy in the evenings, the hygiene in the toilets is not very good and it is crowded in the season..

For reservations and more information, we leave the link here.

3-) Yedigöller National Park – Bolu

Yedigöller, located in the Western Black Sea, summer – spring – a beautiful natural wonder in autumn. As it is named, it consists of 7 landslide set lakes!

In Yedigöller, you can either pitch your tent in the allowed areas in the national park or stay in the bungalows of Habitat Recreation Houses.. We stayed at Habitat Recreation Houses and frankly, we were not satisfied at all, so we will recommend you to stay in a tent in the park..

That is, you can bring your tent, pay the nightly fee at the door at the entrance, set up a tent where the tent is allowed, bring your basic needs with you, or eat at the restaurant in the national park..

Here is a detailed Yedigöller travel guide and where to stay in Yedigöller.. We even left the link!

4-) Çubucak Forest Camp – Marmaris

We love Marmaris, especially in May and September! We went to Çubucak Forest Camp on the Marmaris – Datça road 5 years ago and loved it.. website is here.

The good points are that the beach is very beautiful and the prices are affordable because it is a government enterprise.. Also suitable for caravan and tent camping. You can do your shopping at the markets on the way..

Difficult aspects; very crowded in summer, you should not go without a reservation. WC and showers can get dirty quickly because of the crowd.. Still, we loved this camping area in the green.

5-) Dalyan Camping – Dalyan, Muğla

This is a camping area where you can camp on the banks of Dalyan River or stay in bungalows.. It is also mentioned as one of the best camping places in Turkey even in National Geographic!  and even the camping area is located right across the 2500-year-old Kaunos King Tombs.

You have all kinds of facilities namely electricity, shower, WC, Wifi, grocery store and even a market.. If you say that the camp is not suitable for me, you can stay in the bungalows with full board.. In the evenings, there is Happy Hour..

If you want to go to Iztuzu beach, they arrange minibuses for you from the pier at the back..

Reservation is required before you go. We leave the website here.

6-) Azmakbaşı Camping – Muğla

Continue from Muğla! This is a camping area in Gökova – Akbük bay. Although it has a few negative aspects (which we will enumerate now), we still put it on the list because Gökova is our darling.. : )

If you don’t have a tent, you can stay in the bungalows or tents of the camping area.. But the concept of this place is a little different because it is not by the sea.. Those who want to go trekking or those who have a car come here so that they can go to the seaside comfortably..

The downsides are as follows; hot water is available until certain hours. Toilets and showers are not always clean. Pets not allowed and fly problem. However, those who say they like to be in touch with nature should research thoroughly before going.

We leave the website here..

7-) Aktur Camping – Datça

This is actually a holiday site in Aktur. And it’s built right at the foot of a perfect cove. If you want, you can come with your tent and set up a tent in the green area, or you can use the accommodation options of the business.. All kinds of facilities are available in the tent camp and there are many markets around.. We can say that this was the most comprehensive camping area we saw, from its mini kitchen to the pergola areas.. If you are going to camp for the first time, it can be a very good start.

This place is also very popular with surfers because the rough beach nearby is very suitable for surfing.. The other side of the beach is always like a bed sheet.

We leave the link of the website here.

We even leave the link of our Akyaka Travel Guide here.

8- ) Gargara Camping – Assos Çanakkale

This is a camping area between Çanakkale Assos and Küçükkuyu, nestled with nature, among fruit and olive trees..

The beach is quite clean. If you do not bring your own tent, you can stay in the tents provided by the company.. It also has its own restaurant.. You can stay on full board or half board.. Toilets and showers have always received good comments..

If you are looking for a camping place to relax, if you want to swim in the sea all day, sit in the gazebo and drink my tea and coffee, you should definitely have a look here.. We leave your Instagram account here.

9-) Coal Harbor – Saros Bay Canakkale

This camping area is also for diving lovers! Since the Gulf of Saros is famous for its corals, there are those who come here and stay in tents for a week and ten days and spend all their time diving..

The bay sea is very clean and calm. Entrance to the bay (you guessed it) is paid.. You can check current prices online..

10-) Ada Camping – Cunda Island

We came to Cunda Island! Ada Camping is a quiet business on the island of Cunda, on its own.. You can stay in tents or bungalows.. It also has a restaurant, but it is a bit expensive compared to the average of Cunda..

Everyone who goes about cleaning is satisfied, toilets and shower areas are cleaned frequently. Its sea (a Cunda classic) is very cold but very clean..

Because Cunda is close to Istanbul, the camp can be very crowded, especially during the holidays.. That’s why you need to call before you go, and if possible, look for other alternatives on public holidays and holidays..

We leave the website here.

11-) Bozcaada Ada Camping – Bozcaada

When we went, this was the only camping area in Bozcaada, and as far as we know, no other camping area has been opened in Bozcaada in recent years..

You can stay in your own tent or in the tents of the company.. Its facilities are quite large, and the common areas are also quite clean.. You can reach Ayazma Beach by walking..

The minus is that it is very crowded in high season and public holidays.. In this way, tents are forced to go to the bottom like row-houses.. Before you go, you must call and make a reservation.. We leave the links of the websites here.

12-) Deniz Camping – Bademli Village, Dikili

This is an ‘extremely peaceful’ camping area, literally at the bottom of the sea, under the olive trees in the Bademli Village of Dikili.

Sometimes you can coincide with the bike festival, sometimes the olive harvest, or you can join boat trips..

Bademli Village has been one of the places that fascinates us with its naturalness and ‘citta slow’ meaning ‘slow life’.. If you happen to be here, we would love for you to have the experience of staying in this camp for one night and chatting with locals.

We leave the website here as well..

13-) Butterfly Valley – Fethiye

Butterfly Valley is by far one of our favorite places in the Aegean!

It is a bit difficult to reach this cove in Fethiye, but once you reach it, you realize how enjoyable it is..

If you do not have your own tent, you can also book the bungalows in the camping area or you can use the tents of the camp.. Breakfast and dinner are served at the campsite.. There are snacks at noon. There is also a small market.

For more information, you can contact the following number; +90 530 302 19 65

14-) Igneada Longoz Forests – Campgrounds

Igneada is a place we often go to when we live in Istanbul. Camping areas have also increased in recent years.. The four most popular camping areas in Igneada are as follows;

  • Iğneada Mert Lake Recreation Area
  • Limanköy Bakırdere Bay
  • Begendik Village Beach
  • <

  • Aypoloz Lake Bulanık Deresi National Park

Before you go, you can research the campsites one by one, and go to the one you catch your eye on.. But of course, unlike other organized camping areas, you have to bring your water with you here, and there may be a fly problem in some areas.. We can say that this place is suitable for short-term, for example, one-night camps.. If it will be your first camping experience, it may be better to choose a more organized camping area.

15-) Borcka Karagol – Artvin

Camping is not always by the sea, of course, it’s a different pleasure to be in nature! It is forbidden to camp right on the edge of the lake anymore, and you cannot enter the lake with your vehicle, but you can set up a tent in the new camping area in the forest area above the parking lot..

Bring your own tent and arrange your equipment. You also need to come prepared for eating and drinking.. There is a restaurant run by the municipality around the lake.. If you have to, you can go there to eat..

Artvin has always been an indispensable place for us.. We leave our Black Sea guide as follows:.

Here are our campsite recommendations. Even as I write, we are back to our camp days and we are already planning new camps for ourselves!
