Our love for Amsterdam is endless; we really love this city. With its museums, streets, concept stores and cafes on every corner, one never understands how time passes here.. You can find cheap tickets with frequent airline campaigns, and you somehow manage to act economically while traveling; but there is an issue of accommodation in Amsterdam, which is a complete heartbreak!
Amsterdam is indeed a more expensive city than London in the process of finding a hotel or house to stay. Every time we go we suffer with the same problem; We leave our hours on hotel search sites, saying that it is both close to the center and cheap.. Fortunately, after three trips, we have reached a point where we have a good command of accommodation in Amsterdam.. Let’s share our suggestions with you, so none of us will get hurt..
Before You Begin: Hotel accommodation in the center of Amsterdam starts from €100 per night. As you move away from the center, it is possible to find places for lower numbers; In order not to waste time while traveling and not to stay in towns close to Amsterdam, it is most logical to make your choice in favor of the center.. WHERE TO STAY IN AMSTERDAM
If you are visiting Amsterdam for the first time, we recommend staying in the Old Town, the center of Amsterdam – ie the Old Centrum – so that you can get as much activity out of it as possible in a short time.. In addition to the Old Centrum, we can list the areas you should look for a hotel or house as Westerpark, Oud – Zuid, De Pijp, Jordaan and Plantage. Among them, our favorite is the Jordaan region. If possible, we try to stay in Jordaan or Zuid in terms of both travel and calmness.
To stay under €100 in Amsterdam, you need to get as far away from the center as possible.. Among the places you can look are Haarlem , which is 35 minutes away by car from the center, and Zaandam , which is 20 minutes away.. If you want to stay in Haarlem or Zaandam and get the job done as cheaply as possible, you need to either use a train or rent a car for transportation to the center every day.. As we don’t want to deal with parking fees and parking spaces, we are in favor of finding the cheapest accommodation possible in the center of Amsterdam.

#1 Ecomama:
Ecomama is one of Amsterdam’s most popular hostels and is located in the city centre.. Since places are filled with jet speed due to its location and price, our advice is to check if there is a place here as soon as you buy the ticket.. You can reach most places on foot from Ecomama.. Accommodation from €80 per room per night. Accommodation in a mixed dormitory is €40 per night. Let’s also mention that a minimum stay of 2 nights is required for this place.. #2 easyHotel Amsterdam Arena Boulevard:
Another cheap accommodation in Amsterdam is Easy Jet’ in hotel chain Easy Hotel. Its place is in the Zuid area, you can rent a bicycle from the hotel and you can reach the center in 20 minutes by metro.. Motel One, our favorite budget hotel in Europe has two branches in Amsterdam. One in the Zuid area; Although it is far from the center, it is quite easy to reach by metro.. We were here on our first visit to Amsterdam. After walking around during the day, we came back on foot in the evening.. €110 per night for two, may vary depending on the season.
