Germany’s capital and most vibrant city Berlin, the abundance of places to visit, cafe restaurants and social life It is among the top cities to be seen in Europe with its liveliness and world-famous nightlife that lasts until the morning.. Hotel selection is of great importance as you will stay for at least 2-3 days while you are there.. Therefore, in this article, I will recommend the best Berlin hotels and try to help you with the question of Where to stay in Berlin by making you evaluate Berlin’s regions together.

Since I live in Munich, I have been to Berlin many times and try to go whenever I can.. I created the Berlin hotel recommendations in this article based on both my own experiences and the guest reviews on booking.com.

Berlin City Center Hotels

Mitte district

Even if I say “Middle” in Turkish, it will be enough for you to understand what Mitte region is.. Mitte district, where you can easily go anywhere because it is in the middle of Berlin, is one of the places you should consider first when choosing a hotel.

Berlin’s must-see places most of them are located in the Mitte area. Brandenburger Tor, Reichstag, Museum island, Alexanderplatz, Fernsehturm (TV Tower), Potsdamer Platz are some of them.

Berlin such as Brandenburger Tor Many of the places to visit in Mitte are located in the Mitte area.

“Let me stay near a lively square, places to visit are close and I can go comfortably by public transport, as well as cafe and restaurant shopping options. I think those who say “I want to be close to all of them” should stay near Alexanderplatz.. I try to choose a hotel here during my trips to Berlin.

If you don’t want to look at all of them, I chose a few good ones for you, you can find them below.

Hotel recommendations above €100 per night:

Holiday Inn Berlin-Alexanderplatz (4 stars)

Hotel Indigo Berlin-Alexanderplatz (4 stars)

Hotel recommendations for less than 100 Euros per night:

Motel One Berlin-Alexanderplatz (3 stars)

B&B Hotel Berlin Alexanderplatz

The square named Alexanderplatz It would be a logical choice to stay near by.

The boutique hotel below, which has a very good location score, view and bar, is very good reviews due to its proximity to both Alexanderplatz and Museum Island. received:

Hotel ZOE by AMANO (3 stars)

Let’s get an apartment instead of a hotel, in our kitchen ourselves For those who think we can cook something too:

Lux 11 Berlin-Mitte (4 stars)

When you go towards the Museum Island, which is about 1.5 km from Alexanderplatz, the prices decrease a little, and you are close to the Spree. In certain European cities, river surroundings mean plenty of cafes and restaurants, so this environment is also a good alternative.

The price of both hotels below, which I gave as a recommendation, is 100 Euros per night’ Cheaper than second apartment with kitchen:

Novotel Berlin Mitte (4 stars)

Capri by Fraser Berlin (4 stars)

If you stay in hotels close to the River Spree, it will be very enjoyable especially in summer.

There is Potsdamer Platz close to the border of the Mitte district with the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district, which I will describe below. Since this place is at the intersection of many metro lines like Alexanderplatz, it is very advantageous in terms of transportation and you can choose it.

Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg area (to the east)

If you are wondering about Berlin’s hippie streets full of cafes and bars, how cosmopolitan it is and its face that has been transformed into a “little Turkey”, that is Berlin trip, you’ll love this area.

Friedrichshain If we consider the (pronounced Fridrichshayn) section as the right side of the Spree River and the Kreuzberg section as the left side, the area covering the left side of the river becomes much wider.. But still, one of the world’s best nightclubs and Berlin’s most famous nightclub Berghain Panorama Bar, which is the reason why hundreds of thousands of people come to Berlin every year, is located in the relatively narrow Friedrichshain district of Friedrichshain. most famous place. East Side Gallery and YAAM are the places to visit in Berlin.

Since Kreuzberg is a conquered Turkish region, Berlin’s famous Mustafa’s Gemüse Kebab of course here. On the border with the Mitte district, there is Checkpoint Charlie.

To stay in and around the small Istanbul Kreuzberg in Berlin. you can choose it because of relatively cheap prices and the abundance of restaurants.

The Ostbahnhof and Warschauer Strasse metro stations, which are the continuation of each other on the Friedrichshain side, provide access to everywhere, making it my second choice in Berlin after Alexanderplatz.. The reason why it was my second choice, not my first, is because it is ‘a bit too lively’ in the evenings, what we said was the hippie face of Berlin and the heart of its nightlife was here.

The uncanny types on the street If you say that you would be uncomfortable to see it, I would say that you do not prefer hotels other than the main streets, especially in this region, I have suggested a few beautiful ones below.. I tried to rank the prices from high to low, but of course, the order may vary according to your dates and the type of room you choose.

When choosing a hotel in my Berlin trips, Alexanderplatz, Ostbahnhof , I go in the order of Warschauer Strasse.

Hotel recommendation above 100 Euro per night, even apartment with kitchen:

Luxoise Apartments (4 stars)

Hotel recommendation in Kreuzberg from €100 per night:

Excellent Apartments Kreuzberg (apartment with kitchen)

Hotel Johann (3 stars)

Mercure Hotel Berlin Mitte (3 stars): Since it is on the border with the Mitte region, Mitte is mentioned in its name, those who want to be close to both regions may prefer it.

Near Checkpoint Charlie By choosing a hotel, you can be close to both Mitte and Kreuzberg regions.

There are also a few hotel suggestions in Friedrichshain, the hotel prices are ranked from 100 Euros to less again:

Hotel Indigo Berlin – East Side Gallery (4 stars)

Hotel & Apartments Zarenhof Berlin Friedrichshain

MEININGER Hotel Berlin East Side Gallery (3 stars)

Schulz Hotel Berlin Wall at the East Side Gallery (3 stars)

ibis Berlin Ostbahnhof (2 stars)

Nu Hotel Berlin (3 stars)

You can choose hotels in the lively Friedrichshein district, close to the East Side Gallery.

Districts of Berlin

Ready Where to stay in Berlin You started researching r, I thought it would be incomplete to mention only the most popular places and skip the rest completely.. For example, you clicked on one of the links I gave above, but instead of the hotel I recommended, you chose another hotel on the map and because the hotel is in another region, the name of that region was written next to it.. I wonder if you should choose the hotel.

So let’s get to know the 12 districts of Berlin briefly. In German, these regions are called Bezirk. I’ve included the Berlin area map below, don’t be surprised if you hear Berlin’s neighborhoods. We learned about Mitte and Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, you can start reading after examining the map with the general characteristics of the remaining 10 and which side of Berlin they are on.

Locations of Berlin’s districts. Except for the regions I have mentioned above, you should always try to stay on the sides that are close to them.. (Photo: visitberlin.de)

Charlottenburg – Wilmersdorf district (to the west)

Walls covered with graffiti, filthy streets with rubbish on the ground, and streets where beggars walk around with strange people who are drunk or drugged, “Would this be Germany?” You can choose this decent area instead of such areas.

Berlin thanks to the zoo (Tiergarten) and the wide green area brought by its surroundings. Rich families and the elderly love this area, while young people find it relatively boring.. The area around Kurfürstendamm is the busiest place in terms of cafes and restaurants.

Berlin’s green and decent You can consider the Tiergarten neighborhoods on the other side of the island while choosing a hotel.

Neukölln area (towards the south)

The northern side, which borders Kreuzberg, is still lively, a region that calms down towards the south.

Tempelhof – Schöneberg region ( southward)

An area with lively side towards Kreuzberg, similar to Neukölln. In this case, the Tempelhof area, which is the former airport and now the ‘nation garden’, also has a big impact.

Pankow area (to the north)

<h3 style="text-align: justify;"

You can think of it as the northern equivalent of the Neukölln and Tempelhof – Schöneberg regions; The south side towards the Mitte and Friedrichshain – Kreuzberg districts is lively. You can also hear the name of this lively little area as Prenzlauer Berg. Among the must-see places, Mauerpark is located in the vicinity.

Mauerpark is one of the colorful and pleasant places in Berlin. The surrounding area is referred to as Prenzlauer Berg.

Reinickendorf area (towards north)
