The first reaction I get from people who hear that I am or will be spending the weekend in Batumi is usually “Why Batumi?” it happened. Why Batumi when there are so many places to go? What will you do there?

There is a prejudice and many superstitions about Georgia in Turkey. Casinos and nightlife are the first things that come to mind.. Batumi is located in a geography that has hosted different civilizations for centuries.. It attracts attention with its historical buildings and traditional dishes.. I will tell you how the three days passed, how it came to pass that we did not think of going to the casino. First of all, I want to answer the question of why Batumi. The geography of the Black Sea has always intrigued me and as a nature lover, I have always heard the praise of Georgia’s natural beauties.. Even if there is an opportunity, I would like to take a tour of Artvin Macahel and Georgia.. We would like to turn the route of the Unknown Route in that direction, but we could not find the opportunity due to time problems.. Recently, I saw on twitter that Boomerang will travel to Batumi between June 29 and July 1 and will choose 5 bloggers.. When I read the details of the trip, my heart started to stir.. Even though I can’t personally follow on Twitter, I specifically advised C to follow me.. C filed the application for me and asked me to participate if we won.. When Hilal called me that I was accepted, I wondered if I could take leave from work.. Fortunately, at the last moment, Yelda made a great sacrifice and canceled her leave so that I could go.. I packed my suitcase at the last moment. I believe that we have created the perfect team of 5 bloggers with Gökçen, Oburcan, Rahat Yazır and Ali Yıldırım.. We adapted quickly, we had a lot in common.. Hilal and Pınar accompanied us on the trip. Nino patiently answered all of our questions for 3 days. İlker warmed our hearts with his warm conversation.. David, the head of the Tourism Department of Adjara Autonomous Region, accompanied us with their modesty at the dinner, and the head of the Government Levan Varshalomidze at the sprat and coffee session..
